Venger Writes:
" What is your chief aim?
What sort of man are you... what sort of man are you becoming? Which A Influences are dominating you?
What does your current being attract?
Are you aware of your Magnetic Center?
Why should you be observing yourself?
How could you be more Awake in this moment?
Such questions might be asked of you randomly here, in CoC correspondence, or at some point off-line. Are you prepared for them? Are we ever totally prepared? Do we expect to hear the deafening klaxon when it blares from out of nowhere? Have we sufficiently braced ourselves for envisaging whatever unfathomable monstrosity lurks in our very own abyss? Of course not.
To some degree, we are always asleep. If it makes you feel any better, think of it as never being fully Awake. Observing ourself is difficult to do. It takes practice. First, it is difficult because we are not used to looking inward. Second, it is difficult because shining a light on our psychological landscape makes us uncomfortable. Third, it is difficult because deep down we realize that the more we see how we really are... the greater necessity for change. And very few individuals relish self-change, upheaval, uprooting, inner revolution.
Occasionally, even I get upset with my reluctance to remember myself. I grow irritated at some of the things I notice. I am impatient to Awaken and every so often believe that I should be entitled to achieving my goals without putting in the blood, sweat, and tentacles. To myself, I say "too bad." I cannot afford to take my delicate position for granted. Far too many people depend on me to keep the faith.
Ask yourself the much needed questions above. If another asks, then approach the situation with gratitude. Illuminating the void is for the intrepid. Those who cannot conquer their fear of that slippery, awful thing hiding in the darkness shall eventually be devoured by it. "

Randomly, these questions have been thrown our way. Some take the time to answer them, while others ignore them hoping no one will notice.
I think they are great questions, challenging questions, that probing tentacle that digs in deep, to the heart of the matter.
As part of making efforts, will you consider them? Answer them? How often? Why would you do such a thing? Who or what are you?
