Today Ive Seen That He Got a new Tattoo, A Really Big one On His Arm About Cthulhu...It Looks Really Good but also He made a Track Called: Cthulhu Sleeps. The thing is: He is Spreading The Madness too! isnĀ“t That Awesome?. For me it is,

I think it is great that a DJ in a music world that quickly rising is, in a sense, spreading the word of cthulhu

I dislike this whole idea. I have never gotten the "Spread to the Masses" appeal from this group. This has also happened in so many other mainstream projects such as South Park. Also any nerd on the block now wears Cthulhu clothing. It bothers me when people see Cthulhu as a pop icon more than they do an interesting read.

I would think it would just be a recognition of HPL's influence in so many arenas. Art, Literature, Music, Film, Social Media, and yes - retail.
Personally, I don't feel the CoC recruits, should recruit or has recruited. It's moreso the cultist recognizing a calling and answering it. Yes, there is a degree of promotion and marketing, for the exposure. Considering that Venger himself has been plugging the cult since he started the thing, and the percentage of 'cultists' vs. 'the masses' - I think that's been demonstrated.
Gurdjieff himself observed that only a very small percentage would even be interested. So recruiting is an effort in futility.
Cthulhu as a pop-icon, should be acknowledged as a cultural acceptance.
There is a distinction to be made between idols and icons. Idols represent the divine, Icons are treated as the divine.
Much like the Kort'thalis: USE IT
RISE!
