Something entertaining to think about, but where do other powerful races/entities from movies n literature fit into the Cthulhu world/mythos? Where do they stand as enemies, allies, creatures he's meet etc? Here's my list of movie entities: 1. Phantoms(1998)- The oil based, million/s year old monster with an Ego.
2. Star man(1984)- Immortal, Inquisitive, intergalactic tourists.
3. "Q" from Star Trek next Gen- The Bored, God like prankster.
4. The Borg(Star Trek)- Cybernetic, Cult from deep space.
5. Moth Man(2002)-Multidimensional, weirdo Psychologist.
6. Zombies(from any movie)- mindless, devourers.
7. Nexus Energy Ribbon Star Trek Generations(94)-Heaven inducing tear in the universe.
Here's the two questions to answer: 1.Where do they fit into the mythos? 2.If they fought Cthulhu, how would it go? Well that's all that comes to mind for now. Keep the creative slime rolling.

That's great.
AVP (Alien Vs. Predator) 2004 - the AO vs. the Shoggoths
They 2002 - The Lurking Fear within, that eventually devours the self
Troll 1986 - Consumers of belief, imposing new reality with brute force
That's all I can think of off the top of my head, I'll have to give it some more thought hundreds of movies come to mind!

I think "Phantoms" might be to closely related to Cthulhu & the mythos in the first place to be on this list. It could easily just be one of any # of HPL's monsters from countless stories.
1.Where in the mythos? Star Man: I think could have come across Cthulhu & the gang somewhere through his travels in the past. They would have gotten a long because Star Man's race doesn't need natural resources like Cthulhu. He doesn't have colonies & threaten empires like the Elder Things did. Could Star Man have copied & infiltrated a R'lyehia1n to check out the city, try Cthulhu's version of apple pie lol? Possibly.
2.What would a fight be like between the two races? Well the Elder Things weren't as high tech as Star Man if you ask me, using handheld weapons/living in houses & such, and they held their own against Cthulhu pretty well. So I think Star Man could give Cthulhu a run for his Necronomicon!
1.Q-StarTrek: has maybe visited Cthulhu's mind once a long time ago & found the conversation boring. They pretty much know all the same planets/entities of the universe & Cthulhu probably does not enjoy Q's type of hummor.
2.A fight between the two would be Q's end I think.
1.Borg StarTek: Might be able to assimilate some of Cthulhu's lessor minions, but the draw backs might not be worth the risks. For Cthulhu the spiritual energy the Borg lack could make them a waste of time.
2.If they fought, the Borg could bring down a few R'lyehin buildings but would be hit by the madness & lose half their crew. The Borg would probably retreat.
1.MothMan: I see them doing a lot of business together. MothMan is freer physically & that's his bargaining chip.
2.In a fight, mothman would have to retreat, but not after hitting Cthulhu with a few aggravating blows.
1.Zombies:I don't know how they fit in to the Mythos. Perhaps their outside it & belong to some other God, if not then their just an army to be made use of.
2.A fight of Zombies vs Cthulhu would be funny. The Zombies could make R'lyeh look like Europe after a football game. Lots of upset R'lyehians that's for sure, But otherwise just funny.
1.Nexus energy ribbon: Probably the bane of Cthulhu's existence, he runs from it since its a dream world filled with disillusioned entities. Very unCthulhu I would think.
2.In a fight Cthulhu makes it a Hobie to divert the Nexus out to the edge of the universe to buy him some time? Maybe.
The point of this is to try to figure out what's on Cthulhu's mind, what makes him tick.
