Has anyone considered using any propaganda tactics in order to expand the cults influence? I think simple things such as posters, stickers, pamphlets and the like really have potential.
I am a bit intoxicated, so I'll finish this tomorrow.

that is a good idea. stickers might be the best propaganda suggestion because they could be made cheaply, are highly usable, and can be mailed out as inexpensively as possible. i will look into that unless someone else wants to do the research?

I was thinking more of a Guerrilla Art Form. I tested this out a few times, it works famously. One day, I left a jar on a park bench (old pickle jar) and inside it read a piece of paper that read 'A GIFT FOR YOU'. I watched as several people looked at the jar, and were afraid to pick it up. Only one person did, and opened it. The note inside just had the website. Now, this guy could have thrown it in the trash. Instead, he put the jar in his backpack and the note in his pocket. Now, whether or not he ever visited the site - ?? I tested another one I called 'Card for you', I wrote 'A Card For You' on some card stock. Inside I wrote: you have 3 choices. Leave it where you found it, Add to it, or give it to someone else. That one is more difficult to observe, because people tend to snatch them up and take them. There's no way to know if they gave it away or discarded it. Guerrilla Art is provocative, and I think that's what a campaign needs - something unique vs. the same passe handing out of written material and web-based stuff. There are so many talented artists in the cult, their skills could be honed and used to advance influence. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guerrilla_art

Some messages to provoke an interest are:
Are you awake or are you dreaming?
The cult is coming.

Stickers are very easy to make at home if you have a printer. We could design a sheet of them that could be printed on standard 8 by 11 sticker paper.
The guerrilla art idea is good too, but I think that using stickers/posters would allow us to reach more people.

I made banners/fliers to be posted on top of other banner/fliers, but i doubt anyone ever got the cultofcthulhu net number code. Stickers are a great idea, cheap to have made, cheap to make yourself. Easy to apply and so on. Ha, how great (your research). i am a fan of such actions, "wonderful" is the word. ;D

Those flyers look great. Do you mind if I print some out to paste up?

I'd slap those suckers everywhere I could think of. I'm in a tourist-driven town, we have an OceanFront and people do this all the time. They tag walls, electrical boxes, telephone poles, etc. If you can print some up with the website, and charge a minimal fee - I'd be willing to take some from you to plaster here in VA Beach ;D

Flyers are an excellent means. I'll have to try what Cora'Sahn and others have suggested and tried. We are a force to be acknowledged. Not a dream or passing fancy. We can all be creative.

Every year, I make a fairy. It usually sells by the end of the season. Last year it was a fall fairy, in lieu of the costume season. It's the money fairy, who attracts people to my booth to see what the fairy is all about :-) I'll get a better pic of it at Harvest Faire. I made the entire costume, complete with wings. Last year's fairy

I didn't sell one single book. I was disappointed, I think the price is what deters people. I sold (2) Ecstasia Books at $20 each. The CoC books, are of interest until they know the price.

I like the ideas that Cora' Sahn used. The sticker idea is an excellent idea as well.

Stalls at conventions are great. Have you guys ever considerd hitting up horror film conventions? I think you guys could really strike a chord with the people there. Most are held in large hotels you could probably set up a seminar or somthing like that too. Monster mainia con in new jersey would be great for you guys. Horror movies and toy convention. Set up a stall with your books, paintings, and anything else you guys make. it would probly be a good idea to make some pamphlets to hand out to get your

Agreed, Melzar...Many fans of Lovecraft can be found at such conventions(comics, SF, and the ilk); and quite possibly, a believer or two. And, I have seen pagan venors at similar cons.

As a graffiti artist I made a cthulhu cult stencil to leave a signature on my work. It is a parody of the Punisher's skull symbol with tentacles insted of teeth.
I am working on a flyer that I can do a big wheat paste of cthulhu with the flyers as the background.
Last making stickers from "Hello my name is" or old shipping labels work well. if you make a stencil you can then have a ton of stickers for little cash.
Make cthulhu iconic, well more so. Like Andre The Giant is to the obey logo.
On that note happy post, paint, and painting.

I'm thinking about creating thin strips of paper with the website address on it or some sort of message. They would be about the size of the fortune within a fortune cookie. I figure that if the Christian's do it, then why the Hell not? I live in the Bible belt of America and I am constantly finding Christian propaganda pamphlets all over the place, left inside books, and games and stores and place under peoples windshield wipers. I could easily do the same thing. Something small and concealable as well, easier to fit in to places. I could make a game out of it... try and figure out all the places I can jam these little strips of paper... I am sure I could come up with some clever ideas. Maybe even sneak a few into some breakfast cereal or feminine products.

Take a green apple. Wrap around it a piece of paper with our site's address. Place them on people's doorsteps. Perfectly symbolic.

Indeed, that is symbolic. Although who would ever eat an apple found in such a manner? My new girl's mom is convinced that her daughter will soon be either drinking the poison Kool-aid or eating a poisoned apple. Haha.
There should be a fast, cheap way of creating a small Cthulhu figure, painting it, and leaving that as our calling card...

You see, High Priest Satanis, what the subject does with the apple is unimportant. How they see the whole thing is the important part.

Ha ha! Yeah, I had a similar situation when my ex-wife and I were together. At the time I was studying into Dark Paganism and her family found out (many devout Southern Baptists) and wanted to have an intervention of sorts... It went away though, her mother actually realized that her way isn't the only way. As for cheap Cthulhu figurines. I am looking around and so far I have found these... www.amazon.com/Call-Cthulhu-Card-Game-Bag/dp/1589946006Thirty of them! I could have a lot of fun with these. I also found a paper toy Cthulhu, but that would take a lot more time to implement, what with assembly and all. dreamlandtoyworks.com/my_little_cthulhu.htmlWhen the stars are right!

Cool find! Enjoy an extra point of karma from me.
Those would make excellent "calling cards" for those times when we wish to make our presence known...
