Anyone ever played Majora's Mask? The story itself seems to be Lovecraftian since it has a doomed world and a dark eldritch monster trapped inside a mask, and there is already a theory of Stone Tower being the Zelda version of the Tower Of Babel. The game also talks about how the mask is cursed and how it was created by an ancient civilzation that has disappeared. The atmosphere of the game is dark and would be considered Lovecraftian also.

I could see that a bit. Some of the other Zelda games such as the Oracle ones, Times and Seasons had huge otherworldly elements to them. I took Seasons to be more of a tip of the hat to the Wild Hunt, or perhaps just Fay mythology in general. I could see reading at least a bit of Cthulhu type imagery from certain themes, though I still see Ganondorf as being more similar to Woden or Oberon. Explain some more things you'd take as being Lovecraftian imagery please? I like where you're going especially since that one Zelda one had a spooky owl but Owls are used as dark representations of the underworld, knowledge, and etheralness in many sources from the Ancient Greek's Athena to David Lynch's Twin Peaks to the modern anine Wolf's Rain.

I played a little of Majora's Mask and then got stuck, never went back. Now I can't find the stuff to get my N64 working. But I love Ocarina of Time. I still listen to the OST and I know about MM, I want to finish it badly.
