Recently, I've been seeing Yithians as minor hallucinations brought on by pain and lethargy to fill my 'scripts. Usually my pain hallucinations include things which terrify me but the Yithians are pretty cool in the mythos, so I was just chalking it up to my mind recycling through my old memories of Lovecraft stories.
Well, not long ago I had a strange dream on top of a giant checkered ground. A light drew me to a large object which when I saw up close was the light atop Baphomet's head. He was between four tiles of black and white and that is when the dream became strange(r).
The light went dim and the ground curved suddenly and when the light came back, no longer was the area bathed in a yellowish orange, but now an emerald green. Baphomet wasn't there, but was replaced by a Yithian. I stopped paying attention to my lucidity of the dream and let it take it's course but forgot rather large chunks.
Do you think a Yithian would be an apt equivalent to Baphomet? I see many reasons why but would like more expertise from you all. The image in my head is one claw pointed down and one pointed up, the tentacle which homes the sensory horn shaped organs above the head like the light (sense=light=knowledge?) but then the dim green hue makes me think some crystal was involved, but I am at an impasse. I hope to create this image once it is hammered out on a sheet of zinc for a print.
