I'm not really the one about YouTube videos or such things but I stumbled upon this little video and thought it was interesting.
I don't like making new threads like this but the forum seems inactive at times so I might as well say something.

That's fucking awesome! We need to send cash or what ever these people need to keep these going. You can tell that was a rush job for story line, but if they had a little incentive?
Imagine what tales could be told of our gods. We must find who is responsible for these videos & encourage a dialog.

I hate to be the dissenting voice, but I don't think videos like this serve the interest of the Cult. Was it amusing? Yes. Does it have any relevance to The Work? I'll let you answer that. There are a number of Cthulhu centered videos floating out there, like "Calls for Cthulhu" and "Hey There, Cthulhu". Of particular note are the Scary Solstice songs by the H. P. Lovecraft Historical Society like "Fishmen" and "The Carol of the Old Ones". While I find all of these entertaining, Our Dread Lord becoming an internet meme to be counted among lolcats, keyboard cat, ad nauseam seems like something we should avoid. It seems funny that I should argue against profaning something which we call profane and unholy, but there it is. Thoughts? His ichor cleanses the sin of all mankind! Ikaros

I agree with you, Ikaros, and that is why I'm not usually one for internet videos, but things like this do have their place.
Behind these videos there could be morals or messages hidden behind the comedy and attractiveness. It could spread the ideals of the cult to a much larger audience as some would avoid even researching this as it seems blasphemous to their thinking. However, if there are videos like this we could share our ideas without very much biased thinking from the other side. As they will watch it and think its innocent but they would also get a better idea at what we're about and may even see the hidden messages.
Sure most don't do this right now but I think it is something worth trying. If we place hidden messages in little videos like this and they become large internet attractions then many people will watch it. Sure some may take it as a joke like people do now, but others may see the true meaning. It is almost like a test to see who is on right for the group. Those too far asleep will just pass it off as a laugh but those closer to awakening may decide to research more.
As an example, myself. I have heard about Cthulhu before but it wasn't until the South Park episode that I actually decided to research it. Anything that gets the name of Cthulhu out is a good thing that connects to more people with the more you have.
All in all I believe these videos are very useful if done the right way. This is something we should look into.

I suppose this opinion is summed up by the Wildean line "The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about." I will concede the point, Brother, as your personal testimony is a prime example. However, I'm still not completely convinced. Awake! Ikaros

Ikaros In my opinion, it really can't hurt if we support what gets our message right and criticize what doesn't. To most people the Cult of Cthulhu is already a joke. If we play off this with such cartoons eventually we can evolve the public opinion to realize we are not so hilarious as they may have though. Some may say, "Who cares what the mass think of us." And that is a valid statement, but if they keep thinking that way no one will be able to look at the cult with a serious opinion of it. It would also show other intellectuals what the cult is really about. Another point I wish to get across is that someone is going to do it anyways, we might as well control some of which that is released to the world. If we let things like this go unchecked then we may be in trouble, so with our organization it could turn beneficial.

Godzilla is smaller than Cthulhu, like a small dog to a man. But if they were the same size, Cthulhu would want to keep it a stand up fight. Godzilla has powerful hind legs that would tear Cthulhu up in a ground fight, like a cat on his back. Also a huge tail to swipe with & his fiery breath would do reasonable damage. Cthulhu has reach for punch's as well as a claw on his wings for extra tearing & Flight.
Cthulhu's best bet is the"flying haymaker". He jumps/fly's over Godzillas swooping tail & comes down with a heavy punch(haymaker). Wrestling Godzilla would be dangerous with those powerful legs & tail. Cthulhu's psionic abilities could cause illusions or worse for his enemy though.
Also Cthulhu is smarter & could easily trick him(lead him in to a power plant for a shocking finale) lol.

His ichor cleanses the sin of all mankind! Ikaros It could also be taken as positive, though. Look how Cthulhu is not phased by Godzillas attack. This could be taken as how the cult is not phased by societies attack or the false realities attack on rebellion. As for the caption the prison is the only hope the unawakened have against Cthulhu. It really matters how you interpret it. As well, you can see that people will continue to make such comics and pictures we might as well contact some artist and see if they will be willing to cooperate. If there is media against us we must in return send our own to combat it. It also would not waste much cult resources, it may actually be a good thing to do something. I'm sure there are people just idling looking for something to do which is in no way good when there is none, look at myself for example. The only thing I am contributing to the cult is comments and post I may actually try contacting a few of these creators if I get enough support for this idea. Belief Is Reality!

I sent the creator of that a message explaining the various details and plans. I think it may work because this video has many good reviews and there apparently is an online store that the creator either made or endorses which means we could probably help each other a good bit.
We could give him ideas and the messages we want while he creates the videos. This may bring attention to the cult and its ideas while bringing more attention to his store if that is his goal in this alliance.

Yes, I will and have done that. However, this video was posted a year ago and he has only two uploads. So hopefully we can shake him from his idleness and to creating more videos.
If any of you guys have suggestions on something else I should say to this, or any other, creator please share.
Also if anyone of you know other things like this or relating to Cthulhu please tell me as well. Give either the link to the area or the actual creator of it. I will volunteer trying to get people like these to support us.
Thank you.

I don't recall it being done on any significant level but I just commented on Lil Cthulhu as well & would like to see where I can go from there. Compliments are always fun,so other Cultists should drop Thezebu a line & say we digg. There are some killer ones I found else where that Ill say Hi to. The "Elder sign" stuff is so bad ass Ikaros. That's the type of humor I digg.

I sent the creator of "Elder Sign" a message and he replied that he wouldn't do it because he doesn't believe in support a way with his art, and it seems Venger also sent him a message before so that answers my question somewhat.

"And I appreciate your invitation but as an artist I don't believe in work that supports or detracts from any movement, philosophy, religion . . . I don't engage in politics of any kind. I am well versed in what some call right and left path religions, the occult, theology, esoteric orders, you name it. But to quote Marilyn Manson, "art shouldn't provide answers, it should ask questions.""

It might just be better to lend a supporting voice for this guy. As long as he knows were out there & that we're interested. Getting these people on the forum is good, but it wont assist them in doing what they do. And that might be more useful than having them on the forum. But if we could get both, cool.
The guy sounded courteous & didn't tell us to fuck off, so that's a good sign; as long as he knows we're here. More than anything they should know we support em,and that we're fans.

Also if anyone has ideas on what else I should include in messages I send to these people, tell me please.

"Hello. As both an LHP practitioner and avid Cthulhu nerd, I've read up on the CoC and exchanged a few words with Dishaw and others. We dovetail on one or two things, but I've never been that into their paradigm or general approach. Besides, I've got enough nutcase ideas on my own to fill several volumes (or videos) that may or may not see the light of day depending on the weather. Thank you for your interest in my work." Well the creator of The Adventures of Lil Cthulhu seems to have declined, but it is well and remember if you find anything new send them a message or show me the video as I will gladly contact them.

I found a guy named Zebu on the 600 club & read through some of his posts, it might be him. He's actually pretty well versed in the Occult & active in the LHP community. It would be cool to have him visit us here sometime, who knows. When I find more on him I'll let you know.
