Swimming through fountains of quicksilver light: One moment darkness beyond any thought, Then into orgies where infernal rites Amplify poisons to drive us all mad.
Into that Darkness of ebony sheen I plummet surpassing opiate trance. Splintering shards of my emerald dreams Dissolve and rejoice for toil has begun.
Tenebrous voices are echoing back Iä! Hail Cthulhu! The tremendous beast, Awakened to find my mind is now cracked, Decants subtle wisdom into my brain.
Now glowing with foxfire my essence soars Through vaults of terror ignoring its doom; For, “I am no more,” my dead spirit roars, And drifts to the depths of sweet eldritch sleep.
An Ode to Dread Cthulhu written during a bout of insomnia. All rights reserved, of course.
By His loathsome tentacles!

I enjoyed your poem. So, the end of the 1st and 3rd lines rhyme and that's it? Can't remember encountering that form very often...
FYI, I altered the color because green hued text is for High Priests only.

Yeah, I was going for something unorthodox. Obviously, free verse is now fairly orthodox and the standard for many street poets. So I kept a meter (not paying close attention to emphasis) and switched the rhyming lines. I think it makes it sound less like "sing-songy" poetry and highlighted the actual words more. I'm no great shakes at poetry. I just like to have fun.
PS. Sorry about the green thing. I didn't know.
By the bloody tongue of Nyarlathotep!
