Well now! After seeing your latest video and reading your blog entry I just have to say that....it's about time SOMEBODY realized that Satanism needs to evolve into an entire new form! And I agree with you about that need coming into fruition with the CoC. As the times change so should mankind evolve into it's what it was meant to become! The only other option is stagnation and slavery. When the Stars Are Right!

Excellent Lord Venger. A Theocracy is perfect. It did wonders for the Catholic Church in keeping their organization together through the ages, & it will do wonders for ours. Sorry for the comparison.lol
Your letter on Satanism is sweet. To me, it expressed more about your own goals & hopes for the COC & what to avoid, rather than just being critical of satanism. It leaves the reader with a desire to know more about us & the COC in general.
I applaud your fearlessness against the public's scrutinizing eye. Over & over I see you throw your self out their, willing to have your faith tested & beliefs challenged. I remember those days.lol
I think some of us new members, enjoy seeing & hearing you confront these situations. To see how you handle your self personally against them. You are example to us all.
May Cthulhu's will be done.

First, thank you High Priest Venger Satanis for making the video response. I appreciate you taking the time to do that.
Secondly, I do not want a theocracy of any kind. So, this is a deal breaker for me. I will remain a Messenger of the Outter Angles because I do *get* working w/in a Lovecraftian framework. I'll remain on the forum and participate in a serious manner and bear absolutely no ill will toward anyone. I made a video explaining further where I am at in my spirituality right now in case anyone is interested. Just understand that I'll participate in the rpg, work on my goals, submit work to "The Green Trapizoid" and generally behave normally. I just won't join the cult.
So I hope, no matter what anyone here choses, people find their true paths, what speaks to them at the core and inspires them to be themselves, their best selves. Meanwhile, I'll be working on being my best self.

Your probably scared of the word Theocracy. But the irony is beautiful I think. And its the COC, I mean how bad could we really mess up a theocracy? lol

boksmutanis,
Oh we could mess up a theocracy like like Cthulhu can make people insane. lol
Come to think of it, can one be a cultist and not agree with one part of the agenda, namely, the theocracy?

I think this will be one of the better threads Audra:)
Seriously. We have such a good foundation with Cthulhu & the Fourth Way. The Cult seems so inclusive of any & all information. How could it go wrong?

Audra Lightning. I've done some thinking about your question & regress.
In the end times when Cthulhu rises, what will come of an independent Cultist who disagreed with the religion itself as a Cthulhu Theocracy? Maybe they never wanted to join but practiced the belief. Where will they stand in Cthulhu's eyes?
I have done some praying on the subject & realized it might not matter to Cthulhu. The heart of darkness will still be there. The love of the darkness & practice of the dark arts would probably qualify the individual for ascension.
They might have a harder time surviving on their own for a bit in those maddening times without "Cult information". But otherwise should do just fine. I think Cthulhu could respect the desire to remain aloof considering humanity's record of lying & reality's way of pulling the "wool over your eye's". A certain amount of paranoia can be expected I suppose.
So ya, I've been thinking about this all week & am sorry it took this long. All practicing Cultists are privy to a great evolution as it is, so a little distance seems reasonable if one so desired. But when the religion is bigger, we'll come looking for ya lol.

boksmutanis,
I don't know what do say! Who knew that something I'd post on the Internets would get some one thinking for a week?! Thanks you for your response...
I'm a little uncertain as to how to say what I've been thinking w/o sounding like a dick. I'm not here to be a dick.
How to put this... If we are working w/in a Lovecraftian framework, that wouldn't we be working in a real way above and beyond theocracy (or democracy, dictatorship, anarchy or any other political beliefs... and that means I'm working beyond market anarchy too)? Would any of the old ones even bother? Would it be an insult to the Great Dread Cthulhu if we somehow claimed to rule on his behalf, especially if we were doing in in a human system, in a system humans understand and is imposed on humans by humans? Don't our goals involves breaking the current system, freeing ourselves of them rather than just trading one imposed system for another?
See, to me, a theocracy just sort of seems like another version of the same ol' stuff everyone's been doing for ages.

I suppose I take the following stance. There's a long stretch between here and there, by that I mean from where we currently are to our end goal of Godhood. In the meantime, and for those who have no intention of becoming like God, some kind of structure is needed to maintain order. Or if not order, then a beneficial chaos.
I can't think of a system that is more geared towards the coming good than a Lovecraftian Theocracy. I'd be in favor of a united Left Hand Path if such a thing could come together, but things being as they are I have to go with what works now. We owe everything worth having to the Great Old Ones. I am their voice and instrument on earth. After me, I'm sure another will come. Perhaps he or she will lead the earth to its final destination?

John withdrew the chain saw from the creatures body. Green bile splashed across his face. Chunks of skin & gore dripped from the walls as he knelt there. Breathing heavy, hes reminded of when he did this to a human years before the epidemic. where once he was a psychotic killer living in secret. Now he could do it out in the open. No sirens, no land lord knocking at the door, no need to bury the bodies.
He knew the noise would bring others ,so he quickly gathered up his gear, grabbed the best part of the human arm he was eating & made for the lobby. He'll remember staying at this hotel on 8th street, as it was surprisingly free of the usual maniacs that roam about. And it had a good view of the city. He'll use it on his way out of the city if he ends up on foot.
In the parking garage a couple "crazies"(as he called them)were headed inside attracted to the noise. Wielding a machete & baseball bat, John knew they would be hard to take down, so he hid. No use wasting what few shots he had in his 45. pistol. Their laughter & incoherent ramblings barely making any sense as they ran by. John jumps in his beat up Chevy Cavalier throwing his gear in the back seat & makes a skidding exit out of the garage. "Here they come" he thought as the street fills with a dozen or so looters. The rocks & garbage thrown barely distract him as he plows a few of them down with his car. The bodies causing his car to hop & almost crash into another car. John swerves left & right uncontrollably. On top of this problem, one of the creatures steps out from behind a burning car & swipes at him. Its arm painfully cracks as the beast is spun on end & can barely stay standing. The humans run in fear from the creature as John makes his way down the street & escapes.
Journal entry: Its been one year since the epidemic. I was immune to the worst effects of the madness. Its possibly do to my tendencies as a killer, or at least that's what I gathered from the news back then. Scientist said most patients that were already crazy were less effected by the madness. How funny that is considering I always thought of myself as more than sane. The murders I committed was to purify the land of degenerates & criminal scum. I was an avenger & justified in my acts. Now the world was worse than ever. I must locate the black robed people; they seem to roam the streets without any fear. The creature's seem to not notice them, & the human garbage avoid them like the plague. They must be protected by something, maybe a cure. But I must be careful, for they seem to do their own scavenging in the city as well. Its sun up, maybe 8:00am. In a parking lot close to where the "Black robes" are said to be; I will try & contact them today. Pray I can sleep here in my car for a couple hours first. The creatures sleep during the day, but the crazies are out in force.
As he sleeps, he dreams of following the Black robed ones through the city streets as if being carried by some force. The darkness seems to part for them to light their way, as if the darkness feared them; or was merely accommodating them as if they were royalty. He felt safe in their presence as monster after horrible monster moved aside to allow them passage. Their hideous bodies slowly backing further in to the shadows. Up ahead a warm green glow lights the way down the alley. The faint sound of music coming from inside a distorted building could be heard. The loud sound of a scream wakes him from his sleep. (lets move this story along) At noon, John awakes, starts the car & heads toward down town. "The streets are strangely vacant of the usual crazies down here" he thinks to himself as he see's a market & realizes he's hungry. He pulls over & gets out. Inside the store front, the place is trashed. He luckily finds a couple candy bars to chew on. He notices two strange dark green masks laying on the counter as if recently left there. Cautiously walks over to examine it as they seem to draw his attention completely.A terrifying feeling rush's over him form holding them. Snap! He hears someone in the back room. Drawing his gun he waits. Slowly as if dragging something heavy, two Black Robed figures emerge. "I wanna talk!" John yells. The Cultists turn in surprise. They see he's next to their masks. In their hands is a dead body. The male Cultist speaks a word that is of no tongue John knows. Suddenly John's attention is drawn to the mask's on the counter. He hears it speak to him in a hypnotic whisper. It draws him in. The female cultist drops the body & quickly draws a gun, firing at John. BLAM,BLAM! John, able to break himself away from mask's allure fires back. POW,POW! as the Cultists dive for cover. John ducks behind the counter to catch his Witt's about him. "I just wanna talk!". "What about?". John"I've seen how you get around the city with out being harmed. How do you do it? Is it with these masks?". Cultists-"There's a lot of reasons." BlaBlaBla they make friends. Out side, a couple of crazies steal John's car. "Fuck. Hold it!" John chases after them but to no avail. His car disappears around the corner.
Cultists" We'll tell you how we survive. You can come with us to our temple." John-"Temple?" Cultists-"Our hide out." John agrees. The Cultists grab their masks & tell John he has to help carry the body.
I'll cut this story short just to prove that it might be a long time before the Cult has enough numbers to make a dent in the world around them. Some could be cut off & have to survive like any other zombie apocalypse group. A theocracy does not scare me because I view the End times as a desperate era for both human's & Cultist's. A lot of practitioners of the Left Hand Path will survive the Madness & be held up with what ever groups they can to survive. An actual hierarchy will provide some order.
It wouldn't surprise me if a few Cultists get slayed during the crazies revelry. A certain amount of practicality about food storage & weapons never hurt a survivors chances. The awakening of Cthulhu might be a gradual thing like in"In the mouth of madness" where it takes months. Weeks what ever. In that time, we can be assured people will come flooding into the COC along with many other groups. Pray to Yog-Sothoth we have our temples ready to handle the crowds & the Cultists with the balls(lack of a better word)to keep the people calm.
Its scary that as the public loses faith in the institutions that make up society, they will go scrambling for whoever has the answers. This is where we fit in. I also just wanted to write a short story.
Hail Cthulhu! Hail the Cult!
