You won't find it here. The Nec is a dirty word in the CoC. CoC is based on High Priest Venger Satanis' works "Ctulhu Cult" & "Liber A:O". It is the decided belief of HP Venger that his works have moved beyond what is contained in the Necronomicon & this has become the policy of the CoC. Hope this answers your question. Blessings.

Not necessarily a dirty word, but most assuredly an unnecessary one. If Cultists, forum members, and Lovecraftian enthusiasts want to use any of the published Necronomicons, that's fine by me, but I won't endorse or advocate any of them because they all seem to lack those hidden depths wherein the Great Old Ones call our name.

With alarming frequency, I do not understand what possesses a person to write in this fashion. One sentence and how many errors? Seven?!? Pay attention to what you do, brother.
I hope you guys realize that the Necronomicons were published for profit and not because the authors actually communicated with the Great Old Ones. The Necronomicon which Lovecraft wrote about does not exist. He made it up. Some of its imagined contents might be gleaned from astral space or the dreamlands, but you can't just order Abdul Alhazred's forbidden book online.
Sorry, but there's nothing authentic about what Simon, Dee, Tyson, or anyone else wrote. However, if you're looking for some Lovecraftian fun which might work for you provided you put enough energy and belief into it... then by all means, worship the great Necronomicons!

This subject has been vigorously debated & the best resolution that those involved have come to is to agree to disagree. Those of us who are Necronomicon Initiates have found our own truth within the Nec that runs along similar veins as the truth Lord Satanis has discovered in his own Work. As I stated previously, the foundational works for the Cult of Cthulhu are the Cthulhu Cult & Liber A:O books by Lord Satanis. This is the stated policy of the CoC. Trying to argue that policy is a moot point as Lord Satanis is the founder of the CoC.
The Simon Necronomicon presents a form of initiation that is very different from nearly every other form that is existent in the occult world. It is not simply a cookbook that will teach anyone how to make the perfect Baked Alaska, but rather chooses those who it wishes to bring into the Tradition. One comes into a profound, multi-leveled relationship with the powers & forces contained therein; on the one hand, the Work in the Nec can be seen as awakening the energy centers of the individual until they are a fully conscious & realized spiritual being. On another, it is the Jungian & Fourth Way process of individuation put in a ritual setting. On still another, the initiate becomes attuned to forces beyond this earth & by the end of the process becomes something "other" than human with a fully cosmic understanding of the reality prison we all find ourselves in with the power to effectively manifest there own personal reality to boot.
Call me crazy, but the means & the ends don't sound that divergent to me. If one examines closely the imagery used in many of Lovecraft's works to the Nec & also much of its source material, one finds many parallels that cannot be dismissed as pure coincidence. There is also the hypothesis that has been circulating around the occult community that Lovecraft himself was an initiate; initiated not by any physical lodge or order, but by the Powers themselves. Historical & theological evidence exists within the Eleusian Mysteries & others, but again, all this has been discussed before & really doesn't need to be rehashed.
The simple fact of the matter is this subject can be debated until the end of time & no good answer will ever be agreed upon by all parties. Both the Necronomicon Tradition & the Cult of Cthulhu can agree on the same goals of Awakening & self-evolution; the main differences are aesthetics, methodology, & approach. All true initiatory systems share the same experiences, trials, & rewards despite the differences in point of view & imagery.
The Simon Nec is an amalgam of Sumerian, Babylonian, Assyrian, & Chaldean occultism combined with a good deal of Crowley & some Enochian elements to make a complete & workable system for spiritual evolution & cosmic awakening. The book itself is not old, but its roots go back beyond the dawn of civilization; the Cult of Cthulhu is not old either, but the current Lord Satanis has resurrected in his workings may share similar DNA to that of the Nec if one has the courage to search for it.
As I stated above, debating this subject is useless as both sides have already thoroughly argued their positions both publicly & privately. The Cult of Cthulhu has its position & the Necronomicon Tradition has its own; any kind of reconciliation between the paradigms will happen on the individual level alone for those souls brave enough to pioneer the unspeakable.
Blessings.

This is my view on the subject. While there are indeed several Necronomicons on the market and the reliable ones(read actually useable ones and this includes tysons Necronomicon and Grimore of the Necronomicon combined together) are basically tiny aspects fo a greater whole the Necronomicon has never been fully published because it is and does remain on the astral plane and what has been published is basically the pages that each writer glimpes whether he realizes it are not.

Indeed. Lovecraft is a good place to start. I don't call him the Prophet of Providence for nothing. If you really wish to examine Lovecraft's connection to the Ancient Mysteries; cross reference his stories with classic occult works published before 1950 & you will see some amazing parallels. You will also find, in fact, that reading his stories will expand & deepen your understanding of the classics & those works that were spawned from them.
Lord Satanis is the guy right now. He has taken this current & brought it out of the shadows for all to see. It grows through his effort, hard work, & defiance of all opposition, as well as that of the Cultists. If you are interested strictly with working with the personalities & powers of the Mythos, the Cult of Cthulhu is likely your best resource to do so. Of all the paradigms that work strictly with the Mythos, this is the most intelligent & spiritually beneficial that I've experienced.
If you are looking to work with the Necronomicon, then you need to look a bit deeper into the source material. They are indeed two different animals with similar DNA.

The Necronomicons are good books on the occult but here for the millionth time you wont see them in the CoC, Ive got all the Simon/Tyson editions but what ive read in some of the CoC bible PDFS i liked what i read far more and had a lot of great points and thoughts.
The grimiore of the Necronomicon by Donald Tyson was a very fun book to get to learn about the old ones, rituals, and etc. But ry reading Cthulhu Cult and Liber A:0 then see which you prefer afterwards.

Quite so. Who else? Probably Aleister Crowley, Kenneth Grant, Anton LaVey, Michael Aquino, for a short while I believed that Thomas Ligotti had been touched by the tentacle as well.
Each generation or age or aeon probably has something similar to me, the first voice. However, I know there are others within the Old Ones' bloodline that communicate with our Dark Gods in subtle ways... eldritch impressions. Those who are more conscious shall enjoy their favor.

This is odd, I feel that one might be able to create a Necronomicon if sufficiently touched by a tentacled appendage. High Priest Venger, could the beliefs of this group be combined within another text (and drawing from your works as well) to present an overall tome that summarizes everything? Could such a work be commissioned by a High Priest, such as yourself, for use? Maybe a new book? Please PM me if you have a question, I find myself not able to accurately describe this.

Brother Z'lthoth, I find strange attribution in your words. The great one lays his cold lips to my ear and tells me that you are one of great calling. Of great things that are soon to come. Please, my most high Lord Venger, heed this acolyte's words. I am wrapped in the tentacled assurance of Cthulhu, this is surely a great purpose that must be fulfilled! You must know of the great things that will come of this, my lord, and how it will benefit the cult for ages to come, 'til the judgement of The Old Ones reign down! This book will unite and serve as a beacon of hope and renewal to these humble servants of our great one. I see before me a great plain of vast proportions. Many wheat stalks grow here, and they are golden and ripe for the picking. Harvest time is near, my High Priest Venger As'Nas Satanis. So let it be done in the name of Cthulhu.

I do not wish to get into a debate over what is fact or fiction, but I can tell you this: - I have been touched by the Old Ones and have many hundreds of pages transcribed from 2002/3 when I was getting messages on a daily basis from the Inner Family. Presently the Necronomicon is hidden and on earth today in the physical. The books generally called 'The Necronomicon' are not the real deal - but keys to this lost work. At the end of the Covenant the book will surface and its possessor will be known by all. A key here is > There are " three inspired expressions or works that look like frogs ( these would be venomous Toads ) that come out of the mouth of the Dragon, the false Prophet, and the Wild Beast. They are inspired by demons and go forth the Kings of the Earth to bring them together for the war of Armageddon." Rev 16.

Why must there be a real Necronomicon? The whole point was to create a grimoire so evil it could only exist in rumors and legends. The Grand Grimoire was rumored to be a book of the most blackest diabolism, but reading it now, it seems quaint, a relic from an old world when devils were real and souls could be sold.
That's why you need a fictional book. Even the Enochian revelations that every two-bit mage thinks are so powerful boil down to some kind of communist wife-swapping. In Elizabethan England that's all sorts of transgressive, but today it's just a boring Saturday.

so hey this is my two cents take it for what its worth, from what ive read, the necronomicon was at least in spirit inspired by the king in yellow a play in two acts which featured the yellow sign which either summoned hastur, or you were put into mental contact with his minions or his cult telepathically, to their secret city. a tentacled looking thing of a sign.

Venger As'Nas Satanis may I present a little piece of my wisdom of this topic that hopefully will help lay down the beacons for others to follow and lay to rest once and for all that oh so sort after book. The following text from my own tome, Liber Evillennium.
DUO CAPUT
Genesis Nox
Once upon Istori the Necronomicon held immense power but as with most things it became corrupted via translation et forgeries and because it became 'mainstream' it truly became a 'dead book'. When it became part ov the cult ov cool I vomited upon it, transforming it into the Liber Evillennium by my sheer will ov raw energy. This new form radiated fresh undistilled power ov The Great Olds which will be presented as they truly are. Rituals ov Lunacy, Blood Rites, Sexual Transformation, Vortex Control, Starfire Rites and Cosmos Manipulation . This is the Genesis Nox, The Great Old Ones are formless indeed waiting to be called forth in new and exciting concepts. Cthulhu is dead. Long live Cthulhu.
Zirna'ritee-sigth XZRL That is not dead which can eternal lie and with strange aeons even death may die!

i guess this is what is left of a mighty attempt for truth, more and more the vulgar layer the internet with pollution of books, keep it simple, read what is necessary and damn the rest! for every great book pistis sophia, tree of life, mysteries of magic, three books, and enochian libers, there is some quasi magi who writes some fearsome tome which inspires nothing but sex and speculation, there is no technique, there is no mystical revelation! where is the original insight which make these books great? and what of those things yet to be written? the jesus twins and soul swapping, the origin of possession? wheres the aliens and there awesome yantras and tattwas? the mantrams are numerous and vary but only one language tone will work... i am so alone and depressed...
