io9.com/5675723/bp-oil-gusher-unleashes-cthulhu-on-south-parkI usually don't watch the South Park tv show, but it happened to be on just before Dread Cthulhu appeared. Hopefully, this will increase the visibility of our religion. I encourage everyone to post, blog, comment, make videos, and do what you have to in order to raise awareness.

Master Satanis, Very cool. Cthulhu on South Park, who would have thought. I see it as a positive and for sure might bring awareness to our religion. Had to been people/kids Goggling Cthulhu after viewing the episode, or did it just pass them by as a character and nothing more? Hope not. I like to think that it made some to check out what the hell is a Cthulhu lol. Next the Simpsons? Perhaps. Awake! Ia Ia Cthulhu fhtagn

Master Satanis, that is pretty cool. Should be a way to send a note of thanks to the creators, thus forming a friendly bond which might escalate into something more like: more focus on the CoC or further Cthulhu involvement within the show. Just a thought. Awake! Ia Ia Cthulhu fhtagn

I know there's no wrong way to pronounce it, but... "Ki-tulu?" His "fhtagn" sounded more like "floggin'." Not that I'd be opposed to that. Hmmm, in addition to bondage and multiple penetration, that's yet another thing tentacles are good for. But I digress...
If Cthulhu on Southpark is the buzz of the internet, perhaps we should put up a post on the Cult of Cthulhu blog, with lots of relevant tags, so people Googling this episode will be led to the website.
EDIT: Video or images will attract traffic, too.

Finally watched the clip and I must say it caused me some excitement as does anything relating to Lovecraft and the Great Old Ones.
We could definitely use the newly emerging popularity of Cthulhu and ride our way to a greater "audience" if you will. This is good news for the Cult, perhaps we can benefit from this in some way!
I'm also going to have to watch that complete episode now, should I be able to find it online...

Thank you, Master Satanis. I hadn't seen that take on that picture of you. It looks like that same headshot differently retouched. "VS in autumn"... I like it!
EDIT: I love how the phrase from the Necronomicon was intricately worked into the long-running Kenny gag! They've essentially made this episode not only badass, but set it up as an important plot element in the series as a whole. Anyone who likes the South Park series will inevitably figure some element of Lovecraft into the equation.

No one is going to come across you, because no one gives a damn. I'm not sure if your small mind can comprehend this, but do you realize just how many real groups and jackasses there are out there that claim they have a cult of cthulhu, or use the mythos as a medium to their rites? Many. (And not that Dishaw even created the CoC. He's just one more at the back of the line.) South Park did not pay anyone here tribute. Don't be so full of your sad, sniveling selves. This might shock you, but Cthulhu is a formerly trademarked franchise now public domain that existed long before this site was made, and it was in pop culture where most people heard about it. Not here from from an inane, rambling website that's fracturing with in-fighting between pot heads, pousers, egotistical clowns, low traffic, and no new ideas. Maybe you should wake up. AFAKE!

Obviously, some people give a damn. And as far as I know, we are the only active Cult of Cthulhu in the world. Formerly trademarked franchise...? What are you talking about?
You are correct, however, that many people use the Mythos to their own specific ends.

taw: You're trolling egotists and artists. We're not going ot get our feelings hurt. We're going to laugh at you. Just a word to the wise.
Everyone else: Saw all three episodes. Loved it! H.P. Venger and I talked a little about it on my blogtalkradio show last night, and we talked about the possibility that, after the Cult of Greed (*wink wink*), they wanted to do another cult and they randomly searched the CoC and wondered if we'd get our panties in a bunch and sue or something.
I can actually see grattos shaping up like that, a bunch of regular (or not so regular) folks having cult meetings in their homes and some goth kids joining in along the way. LOL

That would be awesome! As incentive, what if we the Cult offered a prize or gratuity to said creator. Its not a promise & a one hundred or two hundred dollar bounty to the next creator, may not seem like much, but an incentive all the same. Just an idea.
But as for a story line? It could be pretty simple. Two Cthulhu missionary's going door to door would be funny. Humor always wins out.
