In working on my book, I've run into a question which I think needs a good look from all...
What encompasses self-mastery?
Below are some categories I've come up with...
Discipline of Self Influence of Self Action of Self Creation of Self Conduct of Self (In)Dependence of Self Gnosis of Self Conquest of Self
Look forward to hearing of any I might have missed...

There are two questions here...
What encompasses the self and what encompasses mastery?
For the first part, you could break down self into centers... physical, emotional, and intellectual (or other variation). Or you could focus on the many 'I's within us. You could even take a look at the self by examining our essence, who we are and potentially can be as conscious beings instead of slave machines. An investigation into our mechanical nature might prove fruitful as well.
As to the question of mastery, you have a good list. A Master should be able to have control over himself, influence the world, take action, and create. The idea of control is probably chief among these, for it seems to encompass conduct, discipline, and conquest of the self. One must have control over one's machine before that machine can be used. What good is it to sit behind the wheel when your car is running amok like Mr. Toad's wild ride?
Before we can properly investigate something, we need to know why the investigation is called for. There are many reasons to consider self-mastery, but which is yours, First Priest of R'lyeh Beast Xeno?
