I have been working with the fourth way for some time now and it's working wonders for me,I started on monitoring myself,I have been following the advices of Ego Diabolus which are given in our newsletter in the article"The Work"and I am now working on feelings and emotions and shattering illusions, that's a lot of work that lies ahead of me but as it is I am doing great.
I did a ritual 3 weeks ago or so,using Kort'thalis, the sigil of change from our Bible and runes of my liking and I have to say that the sigil of change really worked well, change is coming in my life and everything is looking fine.
I would like to have some advice from the fourth way masters of the Cult, what should I focus on in the next weeks? The emotional work is hard but I manage but any tip would be useful.

Here are a few of my suggestions...
1. Identify your chief feature. This might be where most of your stumbling blocks or sticking points emanate from. If you picture yourself as a large crystal, then our chief feature is like a flaw in the center of a crystal. Don't try to fix anything for now, just discover what it is. That in itself will help you evolve.
2. Practice external consideration. Find out what pleases those around you and put in some extra effort into making others happy. This is not an exercise in altruism alone, but a key to successful lesser black magic. If you put others at ease and make them comfortable around you, then you have increased your magnetism and influence... essentially it makes you powerful. However, stop just at or before you are taken advantage of. When hints of abuse kick in, communicate your disapproval and provide boundaries for those around you.
3. Try to be in a good mood all the time. Direct yourself into a positive state of mind, even when negative things seem to be saturating your existence. Why? Because we cannot reach that heightened, deeper realm of consciousness while in the throes of negativity. Dwell on your suffering at the peril of your immortal soul. Bottom line... positivity is essential.
Good luck. Let us know how goes your progress, brother.

Thank you Master Satanis. It's really hard for me to remember this sometimes, I often fall victim to my own emotions. It's tough work, but I realize that with practice I can perhaps control them or direct the negative energy into a new light. There are certain "triggers" that are even more difficult to control. If I feel like I am being attacked, I will become angry and quickly defensive. It happens so fast sometimes that there is little I can do to contain myself. I don't handle criticism well. I'll take all the advice you or anyone else has to offer. I really want to work on this. Awake!

Finding your chief feature is a challenge. Your chief feature is your core psychological flaw, the source of most of your negative emotions. The reason you need to identify it is because you are trying to develop within yourself an "active" influence, an influence that you have chosen. Your chief feature is a default influence, and influence that is obeyed out of repetition and habit when responding to any stressor that cause you to forget yourself. While the advantages of recognizing and managing the influence of your chief feature are obvious, it is human nature to avoid admitting fault in ourselves. This is one of the functions of Fourth Way schools; an objective individual who is familiar with the various common chief features can observe you under different conditions and tell you what your chief feature might be.
I would suggest thinking about your observations of yourself and determining 5 different "issues" that may be your chief feature. If this is easy for you, then more than likely none of these issues are actually your chief feature (although one could be). Of these 5 issues, what do they have in common? The commonalities may lead to a root of your chief feature. Unfortunately in this situation, as unwilling as we are to see our own flaws, our friends are often even less willing to be honest about our flaws, so asking others close to probably will not help as well. Discovering your chief feature on your own requires a great deal of self-observation and a tremendous amount of personal honesty. The danger is that you will decide in your mind that your chief feature is X when it is in fact Y and waste a great deal of time and energy working to manage a symptom of the problem rather than the problem itself. It can be done, just tread with care.
