well if your creating entities with no real purpose they will eventually take one, and if your leaning toward protection. Then you probably had feelings of doubt about your own safety, and therefore the rituals could have theoreticaly back fired.
Sorry about being brief, but i have some toher stuff to do at the moment. plus there isn't much more to say without leading into rambling.

This topic would also be good for the Newsletter, it dovetails nicely into Liber A:O, it might even motivate people to obtain a copy just to find their name.
thoughts?

How would they find their names from an article about them? Just curious, no sarcasm!

yes, smoke your h@sh and read Liber A:O to the finish. it's really not that long. the very end of the time is a CoC glossary where magical names can be harvested.
there will be more words eventually, either in book III or when all three books are compiled together for mass market publishing.

there were so many names i already gave out, that keeping track of all of them was impossible. but yours will be defined/translated in the expanded glossary. until then, feel free to come up with something on your own. see it as an opportunity rather than a simple clerical error (pun intended).

Ah, I see. I shall meditate on its vibrations and see what comes to me.

After much thought and meditation, I have come to the meaning: Alchemist of Perversion. This phrase revealed itself to me from the swirling chaos of my subconscious in writhing letters and a hissing susurration of thought. Ia Ia, Cthulhu Fhtagn!

My name just sort of came to me after thinking about the things I've done in my life.
"The Forgotten Stream"
Although not really describing myself, it does touch on a very important thing in my life.
Im just not sure it's being put together correctly. If anyone could help me with it, or tell me if it's even plausible as a Cult name, I'd be really happy.

Daera' La' Iyath = "enduring, patient struggle" Though at times the Work needs to involve striving & struggling with our baser selves, through patient endurance & focus on the goal, consciousness can be achieved.

When I discovered my magical name it was when I was working with shamanic magick and finding animal spirits. My visions and astral projections brought me into feeling as a Raven and at other times a spider. My additional of Feral comes from the feeling of wildness and my untamed nature. The spider also represents my artistic side. I have an empathetic nature so animal connections are an important link in my magickal workings.
