im sorry, but you should start proof reading your posts. i never use to and evedently it is good i started. It is annoying to read a post that is filled with typos.
also you haven't really given much detail as to what your talking about. "how people react" ? ? ? "react on other people" ? ? ? I for one am lost

well my friends don't really care about it. Most of them have a shallow curiosity, but thats about all. and every girlfriend i have since becoming involved with the coc have understood it, or at least known about it in some way. However i have never dated someone actively involved in it.

I have to admit that I censor myself. I dont tell people what I do. Its none of their business. I dont want to be judged by people that dont know what Im talking about.

Most is shock, confusion, disbelief The thing that I have found is that it's all in the explanation you give... When I talk to other Chaos Magicians its Investment of Belief that makes something work NOT the reality of it... When I talk to my atheist or more psychology friends I explain the Mythos in terms of Jungian, Depth, and Archetypal Psychology models... I also stand firmly by: To Know, To Will, and TO KEEP SILENT For a lot of people it's not of their fuckin' business. My Spirituality is Mine and Private. (And I'll take this time to thank VS and all the fellow Cultists... If you can't get understanding and support anywhere else you can still here.... Hell I've spoken with Chaos Magicians who don't get it cause "Cthulhu is fake." Go read you fuckin' Chaos Books again Dumb-Shit and learn some Archetypal Psychology while you are at it) Pearls Before Swine and Shit... I don't talk to most people about it even though I get related questions all the time... I've got a giant Chaostar on my skull and Cthulhu's signature (out of the Simon Nec.) on my inner right forearm. that's all I got right now

I've always been very open about my beliefs and practices, as a warlock should be. Strong, proud and fearless. Some people don't like it, obviously, and react negatively, which in turn sets off an aggressive reaction from myself. However, all of my friends believe in it and react to me with the respect (and sometimes almost reverence) that a worker of magick deserves. And, of course, you always get the small group of people that don't believe, but they leave you to your beliefs - that's always quite admirable, I think (if somewhat ignorant, but still...) But all in all I find that people are quite open and accepting of my beliefs, where I live at least...

Hmmm...Well, I try to water it down a tad for my family members; lest they have heartattacks right in front of me. But, I don't lie to them; because, well, they are family.
As for my co-workers; they just think I read weird stuff; and, I leave it at that. I try to remain "professional" with regards to the people I work with.
And the rest of the people I know; are pagan or pagan friendly, so they already know.
There's a long history of secrecy where it comes to Pagan faiths...And for very good reason. Hence, I choose to follow the old ways.

I tell my friends of course because it's who I am and I only hang out with people that accept that. Some of my friends dabble in the Left but most are wiccan/neo-pagan, (I actually almost married a Catholic!) A few of them wanted to know more and "converted", but most, while they disagree, respect the crazy guy with the inverted pentagram tattoo and the Cthulhu pendant.

Same here, Lost Soul! I have to be where I am right now to get things done that will provide me with the means to live seperatly from hubby, who is just plain stupid. So I don't speak to him about anything.

I read Tarot at psychic fairs sometimes, so I have to soften things for some of the individuals I read for. Most of those people are white lighters who think everything is evil. They are useful to me for financial reasons, and are not the types I would tell my real beliefs to.
I feel that it is important to be able stand in both worlds. You have to be able to "ride the tiger." Keeping my beliefs to myself insures that none of those people can interfere with what I am trying to accomplish. Magical intentions should always be kept a secret.

Personally the less people i have to deal with the better. I do not go around advertising my beliefs but make no attempt at masking them much either, the way i see it i am who i am and if someone cannot deal with it well to hell with them as they are not worth my time. Many things i keep privet simply because i am a privet person and also magickly i believe as luna said. Though i do have to admit it is amusing to stir up some sheep now and again.
