I think it is nice in fact. when i first seen this deck the suite with baast (the cups i think?) was my favorite one. We must not ignore the deep relationship between lovecraft and the cats.
Besides I would like a deck more lovecraftian for i accuse the images of the elders to be of a derlethian inspiration in this deck.

if you had read the fantasy book by D. Tyson, Alhazred, you would find that cats play a somewhat minor role, as does Bast. if you get the chance to read it, i highly suggest it, although, dont take it seriously.
