So I picked up the Necronomicon Tarot last week, and have been thinking about doing a ritual that could utilize the cards in some way or another. So I developed this ritual, using the basic formula from Michael Ford's Seven Headed Dragon of the Apocalypse ritual.
It is not necessary to own the Necronomicon Tarot to perform this ritual. But if you do, it will help you visualize the Old Ones as you summon them.
By the way, I have strayed away from Donald Tyson's view of the seven lords, as he does not utilize the power of Tsathoggua, rather he replaces him with Yig the serpent.
Also, during my astral projection period that I used to create this ritual in my mind, I found another being that may be a cousin to the Old Ones. Ia'th'kl summons the five elements together and creates new life out of them. Feel free to use another god instead of Ia'th'kl.
You may lay the Tarot cards in front of you in order of the Seven Tentacles and flip each card over from left to right as you summon the corresponding Old Ones. Allow yourself to meditate on each card and its meaning for a moment.
The Ritual
To start off with, it would be best to perform a banishing rite (I will post my banishing rite of Cthulhu once I have finished it).
The Seven Tentacles of Cthulhu
By the seventh tentacle of Cthulhu, I summon thee Astaroth. whose distorted music brings memories of innocence and simplicity. I summon thee Astaroth!
Ia'th'kl, I summon thee within my circle by uniting the air and sea and creating new life!
By the sixth tentacle of Cthulhu, I summon thee Nyarlathotep, dominator and judge of all living things. I summon thee Nyarlathotep!
By the fifth tentacle of Cthulhu, I su mmon thee Shub-Niggurath, Goddess of the carnal and animalistic. I summon thee Shub-Niggurath!
By the fourth tentacle of Cthulhu, I summon thee Dagon, husband of Shub-Niggurath. May your singular eye stare deep into the souls of Men and destroy the impure!
By the third tentacle of Cthulhu, I summon thee Yog-Sothoth, key and guardian of the gates!
By the second tentacle of Cthulhu, I summon thee Tsathoggua, toad-god of death and transformation!
By the first tentacle of Cthulhu, I INVOKE THE DREAD ONE HIMSELF, CTHULHU, WAR GOD OF R'LYEH! May the stars align themselves rightly so that you may crush your opponents under your feet and send them to the depths of the ocean for all eternity!
I am Legion! I am Nightmare!
The Old ones were, the Old Ones are, and the Old Ones shall be!
IA IA CTHULHU FHTAGN!

Please try it out for yourself and tell me what you think!
