I've had my cards for a while now and have been trying to work with them, in my own way, off and on for a few weeks now. Anyway I pulled the Bast card [ the high priestess ] today and I haven't been able to connect the dots between the Necronomicon and the Kemetic goddess Bast. Tell me something I don't know.

I have no idea. Same with Amun, he was an Egyptian god too wasn't he?
I JUST got the cards today, and have already done a reading for a friend and they are bloody SPOT ON.
Fantastic artwork too.

"Even from very old times, as protector, Bast was seen as the fierce flame of the sun who burned the deceased should they fail one of the many tests in the underworld." This is from here: www.thekeep.org/~kunoichi/kunoichi/themestream/bast.htmlIm no wiz on anything and i dont own a copy of the Necronomicon tarot, but i would take Bast as being welcome. I see her as a guardian, in the sense that those who are truly driven by love have nothing to fear from her (in my mind). Lovecraft knew about Bast, thats why he wrote The Cats of Ulthar ( i think) www.dagonbytes.com/thelibrary/lovecraft/thecatsofulthar.htmi dont know (anything, lol).
