H.P.Lovecraft Film Festival/Cthulhu-con!!! Who's coming to Portland this October? ;D I swear so much Cthulhu/Lovecraft stuff has been falling into my lap lately. It's really starting to make me wonder. Anyway, I will for sure be there! hplfilmfestival.com/

And best of all, you might find one of those cthulhu-worshipping esquimaux HPL wrote about and bring them with you to the festival!

might plan on going someday in the near future. was also thinking about doing another Cthulhu convention or specifically a Cult of Cthulhu conclave. do you guys think a combination of the two would have the greatest draw? Walpurgisnacht 2009?
what's everyone doing Thursday April 30th, Friday May 1st, and Saturday May 2nd of 2009? if i can find others to organize it with me, perhaps people that have done large conventions in the past, i'd be fine with hosting it away from my hometown of Madison, WI. Chicago might get us decent attendance...
i could start asking around if i knew people were really interested in a sequel to the Cthulhu One convention back in 2005.

oh yeah, thats actually not a bad idea. ;D They ARE there though, the weird monster-god worshipers. Lovecraft was not far off in that aspect.
How did the 2005 convention turn out, i wonder if there were many unforeseen problems. I read about it back in 2006 and was very impressed with what i read/saw.
I think a gathering like this is a wonderful idea, if i lived in the US or even just if i had a grander economy then i would surely be there with bells on. It would be a chance to conduct en messe (a mass). A joined ceremony, celebration or ritual. To praise the Drowned One, and the cult thereof.

I agree! I've never involved myself in a group ritual before. It'd definitely be an experience to remember! ;D Besides, the cult should celebrate its growth thus far. Ia! Ia!
