In Satanism, the purpose of ritual is an intellectual decompression. A healthy outlet for emotions, thoughts and conditioning the mind. If you want to strengthen your power of will, enter ritual chamber. One of the practices I incorporate into Destruction Rituals, is my Black Book. My book of names. I constantly hear people ranting and raving over people they hate, who intend them harm, or they want out of their lives. I was joking with my Wiccan pals, and I'll say things like 'Oh just write their name in the book, and be done with them!' "Book? What Book?" they ask. I went on to explain that I create a book of names. If I feel the need to write a person's name in the book, my intent is to curse them. I have annual books. I do a ritual, write their name in the book and review it at Samhain. I find, when time passes - these people in there might be trivial, and inconsequential to my life, and I have been known to cross out names and save them from the forces of the universe. For those that remain, I curse them to hell and what ever the universe feels they deserve, I leave it to the self-destructive behavior of these nit wits. The book often includes notes, details, drawings, sigils, etc. that serve as a reminder as to why they made it into the book in the first place. My 'book of the dead', or 'necronomicon' :-) Forum Discussion: www.paganspace.net/forum/topic/show?id=1342861%3ATopic%3A678866

This idea fascinates me.Do you find it's easier to let people who are nuisances not haunt your conscious thoughts when you use this book?It definitely has some nice psychological implications no doubt. I wonder if the same can be used to modify aspects of one's own personality if the aspects were to be treated like people.

A collection of someones personal finds and thoughts.. and off topic, but from what I can see, you look ALOT younger than what you say you are! VERY awsome and creative! What did you use to make the cover?

What did you use to make the cover? I get that a lot, I assure you my photos are recent and reflect my true age. I'll be 35 in January, time frickin' flies and I know my youth and beauty won't last forever (well, at least the spells will lose their pizaaz!) I have a myspace: www.myspace/craftywitch.com it you want to have a look see. The image was something I found on the net, it's not my actual black book. Mine I had made, it's leather embossed with a pentagram on it. Great book, the people who make them for me do superb work!
