This is an effective meditation technique for opening the chakras. First, obviously start by sitting cross legged, or the lotus position. (i sit cross legged, because the lotus position is meant to be bad for knees) 1.take a few deep breaths, focusing on release of any tension. 2.focus on the base chakra, located at the base of the spine. breath deeply into the chakra(visualize the air going into the chakra, rather then the lungs). do this for a few breaths, then move up the spine. Doing the same for every chakra point. 3.now breath in the Pingala Nadi, which spirals around the chakras, from right nostril to left testicle(left side of the vulva on women). visualize the air flowing along the Pingala Nadi(almost like milk through a crazy straw). do this for as long as it takes to calmly focus on the nadi. close left nostril with finger if it helps. 4.now turn your attention to the Ida Nadi, which flows from the left nostril to the right testicle(right side of vulva). do the same as you did for the Pingala Nadi. close the right nostril with a finger if it helps. 5.now focus on both Nadis, and breath into them both at the same time. let the energy move down, unlocking the lowest chakra. then slowly move up the spine along the chakras. It may take over a week of regular meditation before you can feel the chakras. Further still it may take years before you can unlock the crown chakra. Shaz'rahjeem
