I've got to admit I don't take the supernatural as seriously as most people here probably do, but hey, it is interesting anyway!
Hehehe...
(now trying to determine how I intended to begin my post for this sentence to serve as an introduction. Fact: I forgot how I intended to do it..)
Well, anyway I remembered something and I think it could be interesting to see how common it is.
This summer, my mother began telling me of a dream she had, and which she found totally ridicuous.
It WAS ridiculous, indeed:
She was in a parc, and a woman was offering a marine show, which consisted of a goldfish in a bowl that supposedly could do tricks. She attracted a large crowd.
She explained that the fish could only understand the orders if told with the exact right tone, and passed a mike around so that people would try and get the fish to do tricks. In turn, they said "Nia-nia-nia" in the mike. The fish didn't react.
Then I interrupted: «Didn't this woman wear pink? With bleached blonde hair, short, magenta vynil boots, and a white shirt with glittering patterns? Did she have a childish, high-pitched voice?»
She said: « Yes, exactly that, where did you see her?»
It turned out we had dreamed about her the same day. As an extra similarity, a man nearby in my dream told me that she was named "Nian-Nian", which sounded like what she said in my mother's dream. She also smelled like strawberries. The only detail that we didn't agree on was that in her dream, the strange woman wore a pink miniskirt, while in mine she wore pink shorts. Also, in my dream she was also attracting a crowd in a parc, but she didn't have any fish. She was instead leaning and saying things I couldn't hear to kids around her.
I also got to see her full front, and the pattern on her shirt formed the word "chaos".
None of us normally have such a good memory of our dreams, but we both got a detailed picture of the same woman in the same parc. After a bit of research, we couldn't find any commercial or tv character that looked like that to account for the coïncidence.
