Among the intellectual discussions among those interested in reviving the Cult, some essential something has been left out. It’s something that’s been missing for so long that it’s likely that we forgot it was ever an essential part of the Cult: Fanaticism.
You know: that killing and reveling shit.
I didn’t appreciate Lovecraft or his writing when I joined the Cult. It’s more accurate to say I actively disliked his writing. Even though I’ve since learned to appreciate Lovecraft and his writing, I’m still not as into Lovecraft as the average cultist.
Yet, I joined, became a Priest, headed the Cult for a while, and I’m still here ready to light the fires of it’s revival. All through this, I’ve wondered why. Often I’ve felt like an outsider among outsiders, however today the mystery is solved: fanaticism at the center of my being as it’s fundamental to the core of the Cult.
Fanaticism is the vital energy of the Cult and stoking this fire is the only way to revive it. The way is in damning the torpedoes of doubt and moving full speed head to wherever it is we want to be in our own lives outside the Cult. Whatever obstacles are in your way, remove them. Whatever it is that you believe is impossible, do it.
The Cult exists for the purpose of real world change so we must begin with changing our own lives for the better. As we grow stronger so will the Cult.
Before ending my first blog post, a small accomplishment in itself, I’m going to say this: The Cult will rise again, if for no other reason than it’s what I want. Nothing can stand in my way.

It's good to see you are back on course again man. You'll find no argument from me on the necessity of Fanaticism. Just a reminder that a strong fire is built with care. Take the time to thoughtfully place the tinder throughout. Give the kindling the proper structure and allow it to slowly burn. When the core reaches the proper intensity, its momentum is almost unstoppable (at the very least it is extremely difficult to put out). So many times, I have seen people throw a bottle of lighter fluid on a fire to get it going quicker. The fire always burns out quickly. Good to see you Hartnell! We'll talk soon. -BX

I had to think about your response for a bit. You're right, and this is good advice. Thanks.
