So, yeah. This is a post I thought I'd never make. Lol.....
I'm going to be upfront and honest about my views on The Vampire Temple. The few I met and conversed with seemed to be insecure, pretentious twats, and their religion complete horseshit designed to separate fools from their money. It actually bothered me that ToV members all seemed to be also CoS members and that there seemed to be some kind of official recognition because, lets face it, if the CoS – as a private organization – openly opens it's doors to pretentious twats then it's lost all relevance, which is little given that it's a private organization.
That was years and years ago.
I don't know if the membership has changed but their written material has. IMNSHO, the so-called “Vampire Bible” with it's consistent hot-topic font and near-pokemon intelligence vampire self-references (“Vampire! Vampire!” - “Ok, we get it, you're a freekin' vampire.”) has it's best use as toilet paper for the masochistic. On the other hand, whoever writes these “bibles” has matured a bit and it's clear that he (or they) have put a lot of thought into what they write. In fact, it's all become very dense and is great food for thought.
This brings me to the actual subject of my post: The Vampire Sorcery Bible. (I still cringe, not in horror, fear or terror, but in vicarious embarrassment at the name.)
It includes nine (count 'em, nine) laws of magic that are obviously rooted in the psychological model. Has anyone else read this book? If so, what's your thoughts on any individual law? The book as a whole? What did you find the most interesting about it?

Here's a fun quote for shits n' giggles:
As much as I loathe this kind of bombastic narration, I dig what's being said. (If any ToV members happen to find this thread -- fuck you! Just kidding. Consider the fact that I'm able to see some worthwhile meaning behind the purple prose of the author a compliment.)

I used to be a member of the ToV and can officially say that they are out purely for brain washing.
