Well, our leader decided to quit, maybe he will come back one day, and most of our cultists stopped posting but formally yes the cult is still alive.
This is the only website now, and most of the teaching is here...
You noticed that the activity of this forum is pretty low now ; But I am still a Priest of R'lyeh, I'm here every day, and I'll answer your questions, so if you're interested, please read, work, comment, and you may even join.
You will find the book "Cthulhu Cult" on the web, I strongly recommend it, just search it .pdf

Who is head now? Or have we gone the way of leadership and vying for local Cabals/Grotto heads instead? And no, power hungry leadership and titles is not my thing. I am simply wondering if we have any actual organization here and what we can expect to do to see if there is any new material to find or contribute to.

It is unfortunate that this isn't very active and that the previous leader gave up. We could do a lot with this cult and make it productive.

You will receive from the cult proportionally to what you put into it !
Ask, post, and you'll be answered.

Greetings.
I wish to join. Also I would like to be directed to any similar serious groups/cults based on lovecraftian, Void, Dreamwork etc. Types. Examples would be EOD AND ONA. Although I seek more underground ones also. I seek to become a serious student. I am a little discombobulated at the moment due to interference and spiritual attacks. I hope I will be restored to full magical and spiritual flow. I wish to become a member but this site seems quite dated.
Persons who can help please message me.

Hello, As far as joining goes, you've accomplished that... well so far as "wishing to join" will take you. To truly call yourself a part of the Cult of Cthulhu (this one anyway), requires an undertaking of sorts. An acceptance of certain 'truths', and the dedication to your own personal transformation. What you see as dated, I see as a momentary pause. Growth is never steady, it comes in spurts. It in itself is a transformation. If you look through the boards you'll see there are other "Cults of Cthulhu". This one is simply the oldest. All that said, welcome.

That makes sense to me.An acceptance of certain 'truths', and the dedication to your own personal transformation. What truths? Do the truths match with your experience? Is it like an oath of allegiance? What you see as dated, I see as a momentary pause. Growth is never steady, it comes in spurts. It in itself is a transformation. Old is good. Hoary is indicative of value. Cultists of age are likely to be few and far behind. Scratchings on walls should not be mistaken for presence. If you look through the boards you'll see there are other "Cults of Cthulhu". This one is simply the oldest.... When did this one start? What undertakings were engaged by those who started it?

An acceptance of certain 'truths', and the dedication to your own personal transformation. What truths? Do the truths match with your experience? Is it like an oath of allegiance? What truths? Belief is reality. There is no you. At the least. Do the truths match with my experience? You probably wouldn't believe me if I told you. Short answer: you betcha. Is it like an oath of allegiance? The Cult is more than a high school clique. It's more than that because we've grown past that sort of thing and moved onto a more mature paradigm of rational self-interest. The question isn't one of allegiance, but rather: what do you get out of the Cult and is it worth your time? If it is indeed worth your time, then it makes rational sense to continue your association, and not otherwise. This could be something as simple as enjoying the conversation here. Thanks for helping that along. When did this one start? This one started awhile ago. It's probably a decade over at this point. What undertakings were engaged by those who started it? What do you mean?

Greetings followers of the Calling, I posted here some time ago about the inevitable march of progress needed by the great Cult of Cthulhu. I went into some depth with the (then) figurehead of this particular branch of the cults movement, Shawn, about my intentions and goals. It is all still here to see by simply clicking on my profile - I recommend you do it should you have any question or doubt as to my conviction and vision. I am now back to announce that the promised online portal for the uninitiated is ready - with a perfectly functioning forum. As I mentioned in my original posts - hard as it may be to stomach: this forum lies in fundamental ruin. It rose to it's highest height, a peak of genuine impressiveness, but then as all things do with time, faded into near obscurity. I do take a moment, however, to tip my hat to the new figurehead of this forum for revamping it. The cult has always and WILL always continue to move forward, regardless of any of one us. This is the next step. With respect I post the link to this new portal, as Shawn was happy for me to do before. Here you will find an overview of the Cult, a new forum for the followers of The Calling, excerpts of the Bible of Ctulhu and a pathway for true initiation into the Inner Circle of the oldest Cult known to man. If there is any issue whatsoever let me know and allow me to rectify any concerns. I look very forward to speaking personally to the new figurehead of this branch of the movement. www.theofficialcultofcthulhu.comIa Cthulhu, Wyntre

I'm not sure if you seek my blessing or something, but I can assure you that is by no means necessary. This board now simply serves as a lodge for cultists. I may or may not respond to direct inquiries. For the time being, I'm focusing mostly on things of a personal nature. The only thing I ask, if you are going to "fish" here, that you in turn contribute in some way. You could simply link back credit where it is due. You could post or foster things of insight here. I have from time to time checked in on your progress @ your flash site. Though I think you're still missing the mark by a hair, I have not the time or patience to pick it apart. Overall it is your venture and my opinion should hold no relevance to it. Should you need to speak personally to me, just say so. Otherwise I wish you well and look sharp for 2020! He will RISE! -BX

Thank you for your courteous reply BX; I was indeed referring to you. I respect the personal journey you are on at the moment - we must all traverse the peaks and troughs of our own psyches and lives. Self-exploration (and by extension -perfection) is an admirable and encouraged endeavour. You have very obviously heard The Calling. I genuinely hope you will give some time to my new forums and share some of the experience and knowledge you have with new initiates to the Cult. Without people like you there is very little hope for the continuation of our practices through the new generations. I will message you privately, whether you are able or wanting to reply is at your discretion, Stay Awake as ever, Ia Cthulhu, Wyntre

That is not dead which can eternal lie. And as far as the call, we are strings on a harp which is always played, even if we are not being chimed. The verse of uni is sung regardless, and the dreams call. IA! IA! KTULU FTAGN!

We can connect via computers -- too many cultists spoil the broth.
While it is true that cultural variation leads to dispute, those who know how to connect to transphysical spiritual entities may also shift beyond their cultural norms.

I'm taking the time to chime in from the Outermost Void... Yes, it is I. Venger As'Nas Satanis himself. How's it going? A little about what I've been up to... I'm up to (and stopping at) 5 kids. They're awesome and my main reason for being. Still married to Danielle. Still living in the Midwest. Business has been more or less steady these last 14 years, so I'm grateful for that because it allows me to indulge in various hobbies - such as paper & pencil, tabletop roleplaying games. I've been creating and self-publishing various RPG titles for about 5 years now. Cultists should find something their passionate about and pursue that after they've gotten somewhere in life, after they've figured their shit out, after they've absorbed enough wisdom to become an individual worth counting. The RPG thing is my thing. It pays a few bills along the way, makes me happy, grounds me, and allows my creative juices to take root. And in that way, it's very much in keeping with the Cult's philosophy. H.P. Lovecraft is still a huge influence on me and my writing. This is where all my gaming PDFs (both for sale and free) can be found: www.drivethrurpg.com/browse/pub/5876/Kortthalis-PublishingAnd here's my blog where I talk about gaming and such: vengersatanis.blogspot.com/What have I learned over the last 7 or so years? All the struggle we go through, very little changes. However, just enough changes - over time and given enough pressure - to make those hardships valuable. Be an individual. We might be born that way, but soon enough we start to conform. As with everything, there's good conforming and bad conforming. Both happens to us, but only through struggling can we find ourselves and become ourselves - our true selves. Once we've done that, we actually have the freedom of choice... to do anything we want. Don't squander your opportunities! The Cult of Cthulhu is still alive, but it's introspective work, or Work, rather than an online social media thing or support group for those with dark, weird interests... or worse, a broken home for sad-sacks who can't cut it in the real world. Nevertheless, many cultists will want to share their pursuits with others. I'm not about to discourage that. Shawn Hartnell is acting High Priest, so do your own thing and feel free to ask him questions. And thanks, yrreiht, and others, for keeping the faith. I hope it's working out for you and that you're also putting that energy into tangible endeavors. VSp.s. If anyone wants to chat sometime about roleplaying games, definitely seek me out via my blog or g+.
