i walked into a store, some knights blahblahblah anyhow, i heard there was a plush toy of the dark one. It turned out to be a hand puppet.
Nevermind that tho, I found a massive collection of cthulhu card and board and rp games. I was lost and now my question is which ones have you been keen on? How much time do I need to allot to start a character? where to start?
I have played some rifts, some dnd 2nd ed, magic the gathering, a freeformed rpg like dnd and many wasted hours on every imaginable online mmorpg [currently 72 hunter on WoW]
There really isnt enough time in my life for more work or games or social activity BUT if I did I would like to dive deeper into H.P.s blossoming and very alive mythos through these games.
Feel free do rant about things in detail or just give me some links.

Years and years ago, there was a Lovecraftian card game called Mythos. I only played it once, but had a couple friends that were really into it. Then, around the time I conceived the Cult of Cthulhu, a new collectible card game based on Lovecraft's Mythos was in stores. I played this a lot, along with friends. They came out with new sets frequently, so it was occasionally a mad dash to keep up with all the new cards. Of course, a few really awesome rare cards were hard to find.
As for roleplaying game material, Chaosium keeps allowing their books to go out of print, re-releasing them only after several years when prices are almost through the roof. There are many wonderful adventure/campaign books for the CoC RPG not pictured, such as: At the Mountains of Madness, Horror on the Orient Express, The Dreamlands, Shadows of Yog-Sothoth, Cthulhu Classics, etc. If they're in mint condition, I'd say anything under $25 is fair.
Hope this helps,
VS

[teal]Both the Fantasy Flight collectible card game, and the Chaosium RPG are really good. If you want something silly and fun, I think Munchkin has a few Cthulhu themed expansions.[/teal]

I'm in a weekly gaming group with some old friends. We are currently rotating between 3 systems: Vampire: The Masquerade, Pathfinder, and the old West End Games version of Star Wars. Recently been stocking up on GURPS(Generic Universal Roleplaying System) books, might try to put together some sort of crazy campaign world-I'm thinking Napoleonic era with a little sorcery thrown in. I'll call it "Muskets and Magic."
