Okay, I haven't tested this out yet, so I can't be 100% sure if it works. I know that you have to believe it will for it to work, but I suppose I should clear my head first before performing the ritual. The following ritual requires a symbol of former belief system (if any), five black candles -- one for each point of a pentagram painted on the floor in green. Clothing should be casual, though a cloak or robe may be worn, preferably black. Optionally, you can have music playing in the background, as long as it's associated with the Cthulhu Mythos or the Great Old Ones. Also, you should have an idol, picture, or sigil of Cthulhu before you. Know that this ritual should be done at night, in a dark place. Oh Great Cthulhu High Priest of the Great Old Ones I renounce Christianity* in your blasphemous name**!
Ia! Ia! Cthulhu fhtagn! (x10)
When The Stars Are Right I shall be one of the few to release you from your watery tomb To unleash your wrath upon the earth!
Phn'glui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn! (x10)
I shall use your power To bring suffering to my enemies!
You are the true God of this world Oh Dread Cthulhu When you rise up from R'lyeh You shall make the faithful as thyself Beyond good and evil And never dying
Visit me in my dreams tonight Take me to your sunken city And give me your unholy blessing!
Cthulhu ... (x10) (extinguish the candles and meditate in the center of the pentagram) *This belief doesn't have to be Christianity. I just use it as an example because I used to be a Christian. If you weren't following any religion before, then you don't have to recite this part of the ritual. **At this point, you take the religious symbol (i.e. cross, pentacle, etc) and throw it across the room. Like I said before, though, if you didn't believe in anything before becoming a Servant of the Devourer, you can just skip the first three lines.

Congratulations upon the banishment of christianity. All comes from Darkness, even when it is unseen, Darkness remains, as all things temporary fade and disappear, all returns to Darkness, and the Dark is always here.

I haven't done it, yet. Black candles are extremely hard to find for obvious reasons. Besides, I have to believe enough and have enough will if I want it to work. My friend, who doesn't believe in the Great Old Ones, doesn't think any of my rituals are gonna work. He just doesn't understand the occult, I guess.

So far, it didn't work. I didn't see Dread Cthulhu in my dreams that night. Oh, well, hopefully my First Rite of Shub-Niggurath is gonna work.

Don't dismiss it altogether, man. Pay attention to unlikely circumstances. These things sometimes take time & don't always manifest as you expect them to. The Old Ones work through strange & hideous angles; don't expect them to fit inside the box.

I'd hope there's more merit to the Cult than a bad 80's heavy metal record cover. I mean, WTF? Why include it in the first place? Let me make this very clear, there's nothing about the CoC that requires the renouncing of any "faith" or "belief" so that they can be replaced with any others. We encourage you to examine your beliefs, not convert, as this heavily implies. There's much more merit in a faithful Christian who knows what they believe and can intelligently discuss it with reason and respect than someone who converts to any other religion (or lack of) without clue as to why they did so. Know thyself, motherfuckers. The SHITHEAD has spoken.
