I love the sketch. Will use the Azathoth sigil tonight and record everything for inclusion in our magical experiment.
One question, how does the sigil work, specifically? By that, I mean is there a strong suit or key or ideal way of manifesting Azathoth's influence? We should probably coordinate a methodology asap.

Allow me to put forth the 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 9th Angles of Uoon’ kalool. We can vibrate these chants followed by vibrating "Azathoth" seven times. That feels right.
Alternatively, I can create a Gate today and scan it for your perusal. This will work, but I think using the Angles is a good universal method for opening the seal.

The more, the merrier, Kai'Zen! The Gate idea has been stewing in my head all day, but what I am seeing is going to take me a bit to create as it involves painting, and my painting skills are completely unpracticed. I will also need to figure out seven angles the correspond to Azathoth; I am going to do this intuitively and I will submit the finished product for your perusal.
Using the angles will work without a problem. I will detail my preliminaries along with my experience with the Angles of Uoon’ kalool. I haven't employed them in awhile, so it will be a good return to our paradigm for me.
The Great Work has just begun!

I'm curious as to how you(anyone, everyone) implement the angles in your work?
What I usually do is, if I'm using one angle, visualize the angle in front of me floating as a massive and distant set of edges to the void. Coloured slightly in what ever hue is given to the angle. Then I'll start to chant the call. Then I'll go back to focusing on visualization of the angle, except as a three dimensional set of planes. Then zooming in towards the inner apex of the angle like it's two massive walls. This idea I actually got from the story dreams in the witch house, in which there are two oddly angle walls within the room.
I don't often use more then one angle a time but when I do I will layer them over each other, creating a closed shape. Within the centre of shape is the blended colours of the angles. This shape is applied like an astral gate.

That is generally how I employ them as well, although I will use a preexisting Gate as the foundation to build the angles upon.
That is awesome, Shaz'rahjeem! I was just re-reading "Dreams in the Witch House" today and I was getting a vision of the gate based on what I read in the story! Totally mind twisting!

That reminds me of an experiment I conducted a few years back in tandem with a friend of mine working in South Africa. He was the supervisor of a telecommunications group, and the employees worked in movable cubicles.. I had him change the angles slightly enough to be more trapezoidal in shape, and to observe the employees reactions to such odd angles.
He noted that not a single employee asked about the cubicles, it was not apparent to them that the angles had changed. He did note that most of the employees seemed to be 'on edge' and irritated. Other behaviors noted were the workers were less 'chatty' with each other, and more focused on their work. They did remain 'irritated' and rather shitty with the customers they were handling on the phone.
He updated me in real time via messenger.
During the hour lunch break, I had him change them back to their original squared angles.
He noted that their overall demeanor changed to be more pleasant, but their focus was off. They were not concentrating on their work, or each other for that matter. They appeared to be 'lost' within the new arrangement.
On the second day, he made the arrangement more apparent. The angles were strange, some triangular, some trapezoidal and some square. At this point, the employees asked what the deal was with the cubicles? He pretended to not know what they were referring to. Then blew them off and concentrated on his work.
At lunch time, he knocked several walls down to see which of the workers would not only pick them up, but 'fix' the arrangement and into what ever configuration they found suitable.
The arrangement was neither square or the trapezoidal angles. He said it was so strange, that he would compare it to something out of a Lovecraft tale.
I wished he'd taken pictures, but he told me he was not allowed any photography in the facility.
Weirdness!

Haha, that's awesome. In a way I think this shows just how delicately subsequent the human mind is to external influences. Even the tiniest things can change reality.

A mythos is not a bunch of stories that are to be taken as true, but are meant to explain certain higher levels of understanding through the use of imagery and symbolism. The old pagan traditions are based around a mythology of gods and their narratives. Anyone whom has done any shred of investigation into the various pagan systems will be well of aware of their similarities to each other. This I think is due to several factors; human condition/ thinking and of course the fact that we all 'exist' consciously within the same layer of dimensional 'reality'.
Unfortunately I'll have to keep this short, but what I'm eluding to is that all mythologies could be combined into one. Not that they necessarily should be, however theoretically one can rope any set of mythological systems together and have them fit. Usually this is done I think by people whom wish to create mock-systems and in doing so avoid real spiritual progress. On the other hand this type of spiritual basket weaving can produce, when done right, beautiful new systems. The CoC has done this with Satanism and the Cthulhu Mythos and here we are picking it's fruit.
Back to Azathoth now. Consider the description of him as being lulled by, "flutes held in nameless paws." Now Satan, his imagery and his representative values are all a result of the demonization of Pan. Pan was the god of nature in both an external and internal sense. I shouldn't need to elaborate on this much further, if you're here then you should understand what that encompasses. Now Pan was depicted as using a flute, which I think is interesting.
You've got an idea where this is going now. So consider; Azathoth the centre of all chaos etc. Lulled by flutes. Pan the god of nature, whom uses a flute and is depicted as a goat like entity. Who is the goat god of the Cthulhu Mythos? Shub-Niggurath, who is described as being the black goat of the woods with a thousand young. Most pagan systems have a god whom could be likened to Pan, and several use Goat Imagery for this god as well. Azathoth is described as being surrounded by several lesser gods, demons or whatever.
Shub-Niggurath, Pan, Satan all belong to the same archetypal entity. That entity is nature, human nature and natural processes. This entity keeps asleep the ultimate chaos, Azathoth. So now consider that we are on the side of Chaos, of Azathoth and also of Satan. Well Satan within our paradigm is considered as a brother, a fellow traveler if you will. Further more we are trying to overcome/ master natural processes within ourselves(i.e. the fourth way). So here the symbolism of these entities really comes into its own.
Nature lulls Chaos. By doing only what comes naturally, we are silencing the ultimate chaos. We should come to understand the Pan-Satanic energies and seek, not to dispel them but to master them. Shub-Niggurath has a thousand young and you have a thousand Is all these Is put to sleep the ultimate chaos. So unify and control, then we can unleash Azathoth.
Ia Ia Azathoth!

That is some incredible insight, Shaz'rahjeem! I believe you are dead on with that! It is Nature or the Great Machine that strives to keep us asleep; by crystallizing a Master "I" that brings all the others under subjection, not only can we interact with the Mechanism consciously, we can literally alter the very fabric of its DNA!
Another idea your post inspired in me was tied into the "Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath". On the mountain top of Kadath, there is a chamber wherein all the lesser gods are kept. Over them rules Nyarlathotep and they can do nothing without his leave. In this example, I believe Nyarlathotep represents the Master "I" who rules over the lesser "I's". We also know that Nyarlathotep is the liaison of Azathoth and meets his will out upon the Universe.
From another point of view, this example relates to the creation of a single pantheon that encompasses all others. Breaking down theism to a purely metapsychological point of view, deities represent archetypes held commonly in the collective unconscious of the human mind. Each archetype is perceived based on the experiences and perceptions of the individual or group of individuals sharing the perception of the archetype. In my opinion, the Mythos can be viewed as a modern distillation of these divine archetypes. They stand in opposition to destructive monotheistic overmind of the Machine that would make humans nothing more than mindless soulless batteries to power its perpetual motion to its own self-destruction.
The distillation of archetypes are the very germs of viral chaos in the Machine consciousness. Through them our Work to Awaken from the Machine sleep is empowered.

Very interesting results with my hypnogogia.
I experienced literally no visual stimulus, which was weird, but instead I was hit by a barrage of voices all talking at me at once. I mean heaps of them, I didn't manage to make anything out clearly because of how many were talking at once, but if I keep working at it I may get more results yet. The voices were quite diverse, and there were a lot of them, though I can't really speculate as to how many.

A large portion of my own Satanic evolution has been divorcing the Devil, or our conception of him, from nature. If he is part of nature, as we all are to a degree, then it is a dark third which is inherently alien to the rest.
I prefer to view the Devil, Cthulhu, Azathoth and such as outsiders. They are actively working against the grain (nature), just as Cultists struggle against those natural impulses which are not part of our essence but are programmed into us by the universe or lesser gods of the earth.
I just sketched the Azathoth sigil of Verins'Sharaz. My intent is to sell our house quickly and for as much as possible so that we can start building the dream house we desire. An open house will take place in a few hours from now. Opportunity! Additionally, my wife and I have exerted a lot of effort to make our current house as attractive as possible. Work in the real world congruent with magical aims!
From now on, I will meditate on the sigil daily. I'll post results as they come.

I will engage in the same meditation this week. I also plan on having the Gate design complete and posted. The sketch is completed; it is very angular and crazed at the same time. I need to apply a violet water color wash to the whole piece and then add details to the facets; it should be done this week as I am ahead on my school work.
Brother Satanis, I hope the injection of a little chaos aids in the lucrative sale of your house. I will be adding it to my own workings this week!

Results update: the open house went well, about a dozen couples. That's good.
Also, unrelated to the specific intent of this magical operation, I won $442 playing Texas Hold'em. Just got back from the casino an hour ago. That's the biggest win I've had since getting back into cards... very close to my biggest win ever! Did Azathoth have anything to do with that outcome...?

I will undertake this same practice of meditation upon the sigil. I might also adapt it, to be re-fired, with the directive of will being to meet Azathoth within a dream and immediately awaken afterwards. This is a similar ritual to the Azathoth sigil meditation in the book of Koth. Has anyone tried this ritual or want too?

I feel Satan as an archetype has evolved and manifests within the mythos as Cthulhu. Within the Christian world view the natural instincts of man are to be shunned entirely. So when the archetype of Satan was first implemented it was not in conjunction with the desire to awaken. This is I feel where Cthulhu comes in and destroys the dualism of the Satan vs God paradigm.
Cthulhu being the struggle to awaken and be of truly free and of essential will. Where as the Satan archetype is traditionally accepting(if not encouraging) to the naturally occurring flow of reactive emotions. Cthulhu on the other hand is the raw essence within the human condition directed properly towards awakening.
That part of Satan which is to do what only comes naturally would be excluded from the Cthulhu archetype. Which is why I think it's interesting that similarities can be made between the reactive nature of the Is, and Shub-Niggurath's thousand young and goat of the woods imagery. Satan would still be in the mythos as a whole, but not as an individual archetypal form.
Thoughts?

What if the Christian God is dualism, both desire and obstacle? Then Satan becomes the third side. In that way, he is just like Dread Cthulhu.

That definitely makes sense, Brother Satanis. Satan/Cthulhu would then embody the obstacle that leads to the fulfillment of the desire as in the acceptance of voluntary suffering to create the environment for Awakening within the Work.
Does anyone have a copy of Liber Koth on pdf? I have to go through my electronic library, but I believe that is one of the few ONA books I do not have.
