here's a radical thought i'm just going to throw out there... we could use an actual website or webpages (like Fantastic Horror) for The Green Trapezoid and not use the Constant Contact software.
i'll mention it to the Michael Szul who is working on a plan for a new CoC website, maybe he can incorporate it from the get-go?
VS I think that might be a mighty fine idea. That way we could also have embedded videos/music etc. Interviews? Readings? Short films? I think it would be quite nice to have an email version, with links and updates and things. So news and small articles can be included in that. Then if you want something a bit more substantial to get your teeth into, you can go to the site and get deeper into it.

As much as the electronic versions are useful - I like hard print. I want to be able to print the content without printing a gazillion pages of useless text boxes and such.

That all sounds like good stuff. I think it might be useful also to have a section where a cultist recommends an artist/writer/film maker/musician etc or a piece of their work that ties closely to the cult. Sort of like a review, but without the critique of it. Unless you want to apply some sort of rating system, like some sort of dreaded, multidimensional Roger Ebert. (six tentacles up) Also what kind of publication schedule are we thinking? Monthly? Bi-monthly? Bi-centenially? I think this would fall-inline with the 'Ask a Cultist' section. Monthly is ideal.

Does anybody have any graphics skills? Here's what I propose we do, to get the word out that we are working on the newsletter and are looking for contributors:
1. Create a simple but detailed graphic for advertising in internet forums. 2. Create a nicer version for posting on the main website
Then, all of us - can post that sucker anywhere and everywhere we might find people interested in contributing to the newsletter.

I can try to whip up something decent looking for posting on forums, i was thinking i will make some still ones and then try to take the time (which i have talked about) and create a proper graphic out of moving gif animation. I will post what i get here, dont have to use it or anything, it would be fun to see what other people could come up with as well.
btw, about general materials (pics, text, whatever)...
Where do i send the stuff i have, whenever i have some stuff to send in? ;D

I suppose it depends who wants to get it going. No-one has stepped up yet....Would it be best for one person to take charge? Or would it be easier with a small group, each one taking a couple of sections to fill?

i believe a small group of 3 - 5 people should be in charge of The Green Trapezoid; each taking a different role. maybe those interested could set up a group email to correspond with information and ideas?
as soon as i know what's going on with the new site, i'll post about it.

What about a yahoo group for the Green Trapezoid? The people in charge would converse there about layout and content. You could place a 'Submit a Contribution' button on the main site, and anyone wanting to submit content could send it there, and it would come to us at the yahoo group email addy.
We can organize it there in the 'FILES' section. Then decide on everything from the cover art, to the articles chosen in that month's edition.

I think something of that sort would be a great idea. I'll have a look and see if i can find something more customisable...or less generic at least.

If we're all on the facebook, maybe creating a group on there for it might be a viable option? Or would that be too pop culture for us?
Also, i don't know if i've made this clear, i'd like to be involved in making TGT. I think it could be something pretty damn special.

well, most of us are on myspace so maybe that'd be the way to go, is it possible to make groups on myspace.

Ok, we have (4) members of the yahoo group as of today, 3/30/09. I added a poll to the group, to vote on a target date to release the next issue. 5/1 or 6/1. Please vote. We will really need to make an active effort to obtain material for the next issue. So, let's put our heads together and get it done. Activism is a satanic act. So let's stop talkin' shit, and get this thing done ! :-)

I thought it might be good if we had an interview with someone who could be relative. I just am not sure who could be good. If we can't find anyone then we could one of the interviews done by VS before

Pick one of your faves, and I'll submit it for the next issue. May even be able to use some of the artwork submitted to compliment it.

What would YOU personally ask a fellow cultist?

If i was asking one of our cultists, then probably:
-what brought you to the coc? -are you an official member, if so how long for? if not then why? -how do you find the coc cummunity? -what is you magical/ philosophical/ religous/ occult background? -what are your intententions for the future? stuff like that.
Ummm... either RED or In Trenches depending on how long you want it.

We could bring in some revenue for the cult using the green trap.
I don't mean by selling it, but we could have some small adds in there for relative products. Some companies may want there stuff advertised in there. I would start looking around for some interested people, but i don't anything about billing them or what not. so for now ill just throw the idea out there.
