NICE! Has an abomination feel to it! I think everyone here should have a ritual mask.. it helps set the mood when everyone has an imhuman look to them!

That is so cool. And I agree with Elderichscorpius. Also, any cultist should be expected to craft themselves some manner of ritual gear. Not nessesarily a mask, but within the first year of joining, some manner of gear ought to be produced.

That is indeed a sweet mask. John C, i find him on myspace a little while back, he's pretty skilled as an artist(understatement).

Nice mask VS, it looks positively horrendous. Can you imagine stumbling upon a group of Cultists in the woods wearing horrific masks like this? I think EldritchScorpius can Thats a good idea too, for Cultists to be expected to fashion ritual regalia within a certain time period. Personally, I'm more into Corpse-Paint than masks ;D

That mask is amazing. I'd be tempted to ask if I can use that mask design for the serial killer in my upcoming horror movie It looks totally awesome. You should mass produce these and sell them online.

You could.. i recon having it as one of a kind is better. Makes it more special, if anyone could get them, then they wouldn't be so special.

good point!
you'll have to ask the artist, John Cherevka, though.

I know that each mask that my artist makes looks different than the next.. just uses the same colors.. im sure your mask maker could do random variations as well.. that way if someone wanted a mask like yours, it would still be different and unique. Almost like each of our faces in reality.. HEHE yes.. My dad saw me in my ritual robe and thought it was scary enough.. I didnt get to show him the mask with it yet! If HE says something is scary then I know it must be.. he, as well as me and my brother, are desensitised to alot of things.. we used to play in graveyards and places reputed to be haunted as a child.. and my dad even locked me in a crypt when I was 8.. he is truely one of the masters of horror.. I will have to show him VS's mask as well!

Beautiful mask. Makes me think of 'Cradle of Fear'. But filtered through a thousand deranged, drug-addled minds. Once again, beautiful.

Yes.. the Gravemind, the flood's "leader" is very CTHULHU like, with his tenticles and all, and being beneith the water when first introduced. In Halo 3 he acctually gets in your head in one level and speaks to you a few times. Everything turns greenish-greyish-yellow when he does it.

Where we're going... we won't need eyes to see! Sam Neil from Event Horizon
yes, at least a small amount. looks like there are a few holes on the right side (when facing it). probably won't drive with it on though.

Where we're going... we won't need eyes to see! Sam Neil from Event Horizon VS Hehe very nice use of that line! I use this one line from one fo the Hellraisers, said by Pinhead, where if someone says "Jesus Christ" I say "He has nothing to do with it!" in a harsh, loud tone. The mask will probaly help aid astral sight. I know I blindfold myself sometimes when I dont want my physical eyes interfearing..

Yes, i find this useful and true. In the same way that watching a video with no sound will make you notice more things about the visuals, and vice versa.
Thus is it with most of (or all) our senses i think. In the end its all about focus, a thing not easily mastered completely (if it is even possible to master COMPLETELY)
Btw, i sometimes use my mask to keep focus while i write here, i find it hard these days because of various hometied factors that will soon solve themselves. If i have seemed far off these last two months then THATS the main reason. We have workers running through our apartment with powertools from early morning, its been that way for a couple of months now, driving me mad and causing me a lot of problems and extra work, lol but its a "mandatory upgrade", i will just have to stomach it till its done. Damn fascist apartment company, lol. ;D (im kinda kidding, but not really )
In any case, i HAVE become more suited than i usually were (in dealing with obstacles), normally these kind of obstacles would more or less derail me, now i just wait them out and try to go about my business as best i can. I am now more observant for possible solutions.

I am working on putting a mask together btw. It will not be as beautiful as the Yog-Sothoth mask Venger is getting, but nonetheless i will post about it when that time comes.

This shall be the crown of the mask. I bought it at a small flee market. Have you guys noticed how it seems that one can always like, channel items into existence so that they appear at flee markets for example. Dont know about you, but i always find EXACTLY what i am looking for. Its wild, i love it. ;D

One winter I went to this place called the Red Dragon that specializes in RPG stuff. Well soon as I came in the UPS guy was there, delivering new books and props. I asked the owner if he had the book.. he looked at me really strangley and said "We didnt, but we just got a copy shiped in a minute ago." The book was still cold to the touch from the harsh winter outside. The owner just kept giving me a strange look while I was paying for it, and I told him "I always seem to get what I want!" He said "I guess so!". ANYWAYS back to your mask Idea.. those antlers will make you look like the Lord of the Wildhunt himself.. which is rumored to be an aspect of Odin..

WATCH OUT FOR HEADCRABS GORDON. Seriously though, that is tremendously bad ass. Probably the best mask I've ever seen, for anything. It looks a little bit too real....I think this is a case of the Pickman's Model.
