Is there a way I can tap into my dreams for better understanding?
I read Carlos Castenada when I was younger. I am able to initiate lucidity before sleep if I 'will' it and I will 'wake up' within my dream. I've even willed certain people into my dreams before sleeping.
But I have many dreams that upon waking make me feel I am supposed to listen to specific words of importance. Colorful images, distinct sensations especially of touch, music and songs playing along through the dream, emotions felt at high intensity. The strongest dreams always leave me with a phrase of meaning that I pull with me out of sleep. The last one: "Thank you for letting me play in your garden. It is a beautiful garden." I said this to the hosts of the home that owned a water garden walled in by high concrete walls, with fish and marshes and fountains inside. I had not 'played' there, but had planted grasses and just felt serene in its presence. The scene panned out from high with a background song.
Are there sources I can investigate? A tool you have found that was useful and worked. What can I gain?

Are you looking for help interpreting that specific dream message or do you only want to know more about how to understand what your dreams are trying to tell you? Or, just resources? (In that case, though it's been awhile since I read it, I remember Man and His Symbols by Carl Jung to be worthwhile.) All of the above?

If All of the Above is an option I'll take it, but there was more going on than a garden.

I don't think I'm going to be much help. I can do the interpretation over the phone, but that's about it.
Do any Cultists have any experience with dream work?

I am wary of dreams... My own dreams are always explainable as a mixing of remembering and thinking of my day. If so, and please admit it is often the case for everybody, it leads to many interpretations, as your dreams are closely related to your interrogations.
A wise man I respect a lot wrote that dreams are spiritual residues.
If so or not... --> AWAKE ! Let's not forget being as conscious as possible is a priority, not dreaming.

@ Yrreiht Duly noted. I won't be surprised if I soon see your Avatar and 'Awake!' In my dreams soon.

How do you know you're not seeing it in your dreams now?

Is that a trick question?
