Hello everyone, I have been studying the occult for a few years now but I haven't been able to find any good books on occult studies and practices. Does any have any good suggestions?

Chaos magic is good. So are books by Crowley and the Cults two bibles. The CoC has a lot of rituals you can try too. "Occult studies and practices" is a pretty broad topic. Do you have anything specific you're looking for?

I have done some of the rituals on the CoC website. I suppose i'm looking for books on cultist's personal experiences with the occult and their own individual studies, to see how they differ from my own.

Hmmm....in that case I don't know of any books like that. Of course, all books have the benefit of the author's experience, but most don't reveal what exactly that experience was. I would suggest you stick around this forum and others on occultism to ask questions. Live people are sometimes a lot better than books for answers. Awake! Wren

I recently found a very interesting book on the occult and dark practices, that seems like it would fit nicely into to Cult of Cthulhu, Heres an online version: azjeh666.angelfire.com/WitchMoon.pdf

My bad, it's a great topic to bring up. For me, the study of the occult is the study of myself and the world in the deepest sense I know possible. My entire life I've been deepening my understanding and now I'm to the point where I know that my 'self' and the 'world' are illusions. Over the years how I experience my self and the world have gotten really weird, but it's a lot of fun, too. My experience has been a bit like the video below, if my life's progress were portrayed in artistic heavy metal.

Fascinating video, a bit hard to interpret at first.

I thought about posting it in a thread for just that purpose. What do you think?
