I know little about voodoo ; however, what I know is enough to be sure there is nothing in common between voodoo and the myth of Cthulhu. In my opinion, lets not waste our time with the voodoo.

Awake... actually Voodoo could be used as a good cover for the Mythos, after all Damballah could be equated with Yig!

Late post I know, I think the voodoo faith is cool, it's centered on the animating life force of the earth and its spirits, aka Loa, but the flare doesn't really appeal to me that's why I chose to become a Cthulhu cultist. Also why would we cover up the themes of our faith with that of another? I like what I practice, it's interesting, I never viewed my practices as blasphemous and I never try to make them so and the themes of my faith seem more appealing to me than those of most other faiths. I know for a fact that in Haiti Vodou practitioners worship the Loa still but disguised them with figures found in the Catholic faith to avoid persecution. As far as I'm concerned we live in a world free from persecution where we can practice religion any way we choose so long as no one is hurt (dead gods forbid), so we have nothing to fear.
Hail Cthulhu!

Since i posted this i have moved one from Voodoo, while i can be used to cover Mythos practices I lean more toward Blending Mythos Occultis/practices with Paganism/Druidry
