Hahaha I like Venger's ominous little short comment there.
So it recently occurred to me that I have had a longstanding love-hate relationship with the punk scene and have been an outsider, and I should probably finally open up and try it out. That's Stage 3 of putting the 9AO I envision into action, Stage 1 being articulating it and Stage 2 being becoming it myself.

Just saw "My life with the thrill kill kult" at a club in SD this weekend & it rocked! I don't always have too drink, but the crowed was tough & I'm trying to keep the industrial scene from mosh pit apathy!
I danced with everybody as long as I could, till I realized they weren't gonna mosh & that just can't happen. Sure a couple people got pissed, but I've seen the scene down here dwindle over the last five years to the point that if your lucky maybe the song "After the Flesh" will get em going! But I couldn't wait to see that sorta disgrace befall us, so I got em going early.
These social scenes are where a lot of our people can come from since their already well adapted to seeing & hanging around with ALIENS! But I do miss moshing & might have to go to a punk scene soon. I implore all Californians who read this to not let our Industrial, Goth, community become a new "Mod" scene filled with just outfits that look cool. lol
Hail Cthulhu!

Yeah, there's an old phrase. If the mountain will not come to Mohammed, Mohammed must go to the mountain. I realized that, while I love metal, the punks are way more tight-knit, more of a community. More politicized too (obviously). I'm not saying give up on enjoying whatever scene you're in (though, you might save yourself frustration by not trying to turn a non-moshing scene into a moshing scene...it's not something one person can change).

Perhaps the Nine Angled Order should be merged with the punk aesthetic... something approximating Fight Club and approaching nihilism?

Yeah, totally. Like the ONA, the 9AO can use this as one of its many branches/facets rather than requiring it of everyone in the group. But as I told you, I rewatched Fight Club 3+ times this weekend and it's definitely an inspiration for seeking authenticity.

What's cool is, no organization has laid claim to that film as a movement or philosophy as of yet. Just the UFC rage, plus some scattered about anarchists around the globe, maybe some high school kids here & there but nothing impressive, nothing organized.
Dude, you should write up a presentation to make it look all formal. Something long winded & fancy:) The Evolution of Man... etc, etc.
I'm really excited by all this & would love to hear some feedback from members of the ONA, sure they'll be pissed, but they could look at it as a way of infiltrating the COC:) Or they could just humor us with hypothetical's lol.
If any ONA members are listening in, I'd love to have a private conversation about their organization, just PM me. Makes me want to get in touch with em.

I think what is so alluring to many, is the Anarchist undertones of the punk scene. It's conveyed through modes of dress, lyrical interpretations and an overall attutide. Granted, punk in general, has gone through some radical changes from the 80's to the present day, but I still see the old mores even with the young kids ages 11-15. Some of my son's friends are punk, and some are a fusion of punk/gothic. Tearing down to rebuild, is really where we need to be heading. Tear it all down, brick by brick!
