E-books are available. Heck, print the book yourself at home, and place its' pages within the cover of some "acceptable" book. Such as, print up whatever satanic tomes you seek, AO, CoC Bible, whatever, some hardcore porn, whatever, place these pages within the cover of some propaganda that your totaltarian government publishes.
Wait...if your really live in some place where certain books are banned, you likely have better book smuggling ideas than what I just offered.

With this Vaio I can't get pdf files without buying the program, according to MS. Neve had a issue with pdf's before buying this laptop.

Joining in my tiny mind was the making a commitment to myself that I wouldn't have made otherwise. I now have definite aims. To be honest I had the aims but by joining they are now definite goals. Kinda like peer pressure but it's really all me. Hope that makes sense to someone other than me.

Wanting to join is one thing...
Being allowed the opportunity to join; quite another...
And, as to why; why not?

When the student is ready, the teacher will appear. Through several serendipitous events, I have stumbled upon this site. Though I am not yet a member, I have several serious questions. If the High Priest is available, please contact my e mail ravensmythe@gmail.com. I have been studying the occult since I was very young and have been looking for a group of like minded people to connect with (I'm polytheistic, but by no means a Wiccan - they're a little too 'soft' and myopic in their views for me). I've always been called into the darker aspects of our world, and now, I may have finally found a site and group I can truly speak to openly.

Well the reason I joined was because I understand and agree with the small part that i have learned about the C.o.C. and i want to know more. How else are you to know about something like this or CoS or some other cult until you jump feet first in? You join something like this because you identify with the cause. I didn't join because i wanted to be apart of just any group but I wanted to be a member of C.o.C. I like learning more about the fourth way, I like reading Lovecraft, I like tying philosophies together and growing as a person. I like the fact that there are other people out their stumbling along in this green slime of a world doing the same thing. "I'm one of Us" lol

"imbibing new ideas, making them your own, and implementing them in your life is no easy task. truly an act of Will." I like that thought on the Will. Often I find myself fighting my will just to have a real Will. Not to mention, you need to get outside of your own ego at times just to simply make amends with others or the normals. I tend to call most people sheep. About this thread. . . I've just recently started initiating active interest with Coc. I've yet to embark on the long load of work in front of me to actually become a full time or official member of Cthulhu. I have just bought Vengers book, and a Lovecraft book, "The Complete Reader", if I recall correctly. Can't wait to start reading each of them. Here's the catch for me: It will undoubtedly take some weeks for me to muster up all the proper knowledge of the Lovecraft Mythos to answer the questions on the application sheet. I haven't even started on the first Lovecraft book yet, lol. Problem, as most of them revolve around his comprehensive works. I've yet to amalgamate his Cthulhu writings. The reason why I'm joining, well, their are few; but just learning from all the reading is enough for me, for now. One slimy step at a time. . .

And it may take longer than a few weeks to establish a good understanding; I intergrate a whole plateau of subjects and studies in with my paradims.
The question is, how do I stop my paradims from becoming a mere observation or analysis? This isn't the place for me to talk about this.

I didn't join until I was sure I felt it was the right way to go. 4 months roughly.
For some it might be sooner, others, longer.

I wish to join in the near future because I feel compelled to. I am not sure why, but this organization has long been on my mind since I was aware of it's existence. I've always been drawn to the Old Ones even without being all to familiar with the works of Lovecraft. I have no idea why, but it indeed does call me.
I've always questioned reality and social standards and often asked more questions then their are answers for. I find this group enlightening and seek to further Awaken.
However, I must better acquaint myself with the stories of Lovecraft and further my knowledge with the Work before I feel ready enough to apply. I want to take this steady and seriously.

I didn't join until I was sure I felt it was the right way to go. This is pretty much where I am right now. Making certain that this is what I want, and if it is the right way to go for me. I keep coming back to it, and am currently reading all I can into the Fourth Way, Chaos Magick, and CoC bibles, of course. It's a good thing that I keep coming back. I feel that I fit nearly perfectly within the cult. But I am also old enough, and know myself enough, to know that I do tend to jump into things too quickly, and then lose interest. I am definitely going to take my time with this one, because if I join, I want the cult to be a very personal, very deep part of who I am as an individual. I already feel that CoC is, simply by agreeing with nearly everything I've read and listened to so far.

This all states a variety of the same reasons of why I joined. I felt that there was something missing in my waking life, and having discovered a new way or outlet to work upon myself, both in dreaming and waking reality, I couldn't resist the Call.
